Waterwise 4000, Countertop Water Distiller System for Home and Office, 1 Gallon Glass Collector Bottle

It was so worth getting a quality distiller at last. You can just tell how sturdily this is made. I think I've had three before this, all around $100 and they all broke down after a year or so. I would have saved money if I'd bought this originally. A distiller not only makes great tasting water, but it keeps plastic out of the environment and your body. Every time you turn the cap on a plastic bottle, tiny particles escape and you swallow them.

Exactly what I was looking for! I am using RO water to distill. Barely any cleanup and I am ready for a new batch. My RO is filtering down my 300ppm tap water to 5 ppm when all my filters are working properly. Whenever I read my output at about 9-10ppm I change my apex 5 stage system that I got from amazon. It is what I use to feed my pets and to cook with. I am processing two batches per day and after reading 2 ppm for around two-three batches which I threw out and then stated to get zero on my readings. I am using that now in all my hydration routines especially morning water intake. I am adding one half of lemon squeezed and then cut off the rind on the lemon (Yellow portion only) and then slice up the rest to add it into my 32 Oz cup to sip on during my morning routine due to Stage 2 kidney disease. It was easy for me to setup, begin processing and enjoying the best water for me to consume.

I like this distiller. I use it once or twice a day and have done for 8 months. I use it every day, and it has functioned without fail. Water tastes great. I have sulfur well water and there isn't a hint of anything in this water, except water of course. Using the solution they give to clean off the scale that builds up inside works well too. I think it might just be citric acid unless there is something in there they didn't put on the label.So, why only four stars? The glass pitcher!!! It is really terrible! I used one from a different distiller that is awesome, but it broke, so I ended up using this one. I can hardly wait to be able to afford to buy another of the other one I had. This has a big gap in the lid where you pour which means that insects can get inside while it's distilling. I use this in my garage in the summer because it really heats the house--a couple degrees at least. So I put a wash cloth over the hole, but sometimes it droops and gets soaked and then drips water on the counter. So unnecessary. You have to take the lid off to pour anyway because the spout on this thing doesn't work. It's not shaped properly. No matter how slow or fast you poor it, the water just gets all over anyway. So, I've just given in to having to wipe up afterwards. The handle is on the back which is far easier to use than this one where it's on the top. Soooo hard to use.So, there you are, it's a good distiller, but a poorly designed pitcher. If you buy either pitcher, just be careful, they are both real glass and break easily.The only thing else I recommend is that if you depend on distilled water, you might want a back up. Paying expedited shipping on this is not pretty! Guess how I know? LOL Also, if you need a lot of water, you might also want to buy two because these are not commercial grade if you run them more than a time or two a day you will burn them out more quickly. I try to keep it to once a day.And, FYI, it takes five hours to make one gallon.

Great water distiller. Completes a gallon distillation in about 4 hours. As long as you use the filter that goes with this distiller, the water tastes good. It is a good value for the money. My husband and I are senior citizens and this is the third Waterwise distiller that we have owned, and we have gotten a LOT OF USE out of each and every one! You do need a little bit of counter space to set this up in your kitchen, but if you have a laundry area or other sink, you could easily set it up there. The noise produced as the distiller works is not overly loud or distracting. We highly recommend this product.

50 ppm or less of contaminants is ok to drink. This device was even better than the $1500 REVERSIS OSMOSIS system they tried to sell me. Brings the water down to zero. So I love this thing! I just hope it lasts because it wasn’t exactly cheap

This is the second Waterwise 4000 i have bought in the vain hope that the first one was just bad luck. Unfortunately as i bought the first one in the UK store via my sibling, she paid £400 over double the price in the USA store. Sadly i have been unable to even have one liter of distilled water from either machines. We have sent back the first, replaced its fan and still trouble shooting 8 months later... and with this one i have zero water production too.What a total waste of a lot money.Athena

I know these things are expensive, but how much is your health worth? Ive used these devices (I have 3!) for over 20 years now and they are worth every penny! Once you taste this water nothing else will do, it goes through your system and removes toxins as it winds up in your bladder, you will see and smell the garbage it removes. Makes the best coffee and tea imaginable and once refrigerated, its unbeatable for thirst.

I love this machine. I rarely write reviews but thought I could add a couple helpful hints to this. I am on my second machine. The first lasted years and years. It eventually burned out. The carafe has changed immensely since the last one. This one pours well and doesn't dribble half away like the old one. You will need to buy the Kleenwise powder. It does a great job and lasts a long time. When the cycle is done I store the water in half gallon glass containers in the refrigerator. It's easier than the big carafe. One very helpful hint would be to not let it completely finish the cycle. When it is about an inch from the top, I unplug the machine. Pour off the water into containers and clean the unit. Since you left about an inch of water it doesn't get as crusty and fused which makes cleaning much easier. I only us the powder about every 5 cycles. Otherwise I just clean it with a long round brush and fresh water while it's still warm. You don't need to let it cool down before taking off the lid. It isn't a pressure cooker! Just aim the lid away from you because it is hot steam. The sooner you clean the tank, the better. I also think that stopping it short of it's cycle might prolong it's life. When my old one failed, it was one of the few times I wasn't around to stop it before it auto shut off. It was dead after that. Maybe coincidence, maybe not!

Excellent service, delivery and product. Well impressed so far. Easy assembly, very sturdy. Don't know what the other reviews were on about. Oh and the water tastes lovely!
