Great Caliper At This Price Point.
I purchased this caliper just to try it out. I was wanting a somewhat inexpensive one for everyday use in my hot, humid, dusty, nasty shop and to help take some of the workload off my Mitutoyo. I must say, this caliper is very well-made and dead-on accurate. I tested it against a 1-2-3 setup block, and it read exactly the same as my Mitutoyo Digimatic. Looks like iGaging reads the customer reviews too as they put the isolation shipping plastic in the battery compartment on this one. Looks like they also addressed the battery tray issue by using a screw hold down. In addition to a spare battery, they supplied a small screwdriver and a couple of extra screws as well....very nice touch: Thanks, iGaging. The first couple of days with this thing have been great so far. I've quickly come to appreciate that large digital display, especially with my aging eyesight. The overall build quality for a tool in this price range is also pretty well done. IF I had any real con at all so far, it might be the thumb wheel....it's got some play which takes some getting used to, but doesn't affect the accuracy or functioning of the tool at all. It is certainly NOT a deal breaker by any means, especially at this price point. We''ll see how it holds up (including battery life) with long-term usage. And yes, I'd buy it again IF I had to. Overall, I'm well-pleased with it for my needs (cartridge reloading and general shop usage).

This one is up there in quality and right on the price
I bought these because I wanted to try them, I have some of their other tools and I really really like them, they are for woodworking. These digital calipers are right on the money, I'm rekeying my home and couldn't find the one I normally use. I had a bunch of pins that I dumped out of the cylinders and I wanted to put them back into my pin box. The first pin I tried, these were right on the money. Thought I better compare them to another set that I have, actually 2 of them. The first one was a Mititoyo DC and it was right on the money too, so I decided to try measuring the pin with a set of Harbor Freight DC's and they too agreed with the EZCal by IGaging. This digital Caliper measures in MM, In's and Fractional Inches. I was a little disappointed in the screen but after wiping it off a couple of times the gunk (probably from the manufacturing process) came right off, we were good to go. They are very solidly constructed and everything works very smoothly. To my surprise, there is even a chart on the backside of the body that is an inch to decimal. Wow, you don't find that on the higher end calipers. These even came with a really small tipped Phillips screw driver and an extra battery with some nice instructions and it rests when not in use in a very nicely padded plastic case. If you're looking for a nicely priced set of digital calipers, give these a shot, I really don't think you will be sorry you bought them, I'm certainly not. Give these a try, I'm glad I did.

Makes Tricky Measurements Simple
I’ve always struggled when measuring things like bolts, screws, washers, drill bits, and other assorted hardware, but this caliper has made that process much easier. It feels well built in hand and has a solid weight that gives confidence while using it. Switching between inch, metric, and fractional readings is straightforward, which saves me time when I’m working on different projects. The display is easy to read, and overall operation is intuitive without a learning curve. I also appreciate that it comes with a case, which makes it easy to store and protect when not in use. After using it for a while, it’s become one of those tools I reach for without thinking. . What you may care about: • Measuring small hardware like bolts, screws, and washers accurately (Meets) • Easy-to-read display and simple controls (Meets) • Build quality that feels solid and dependable (Meets) • Switching between inch, metric, and fractional units (Meets) • Storage and protection with an included case (Meets)

I'm not an expert, and I can't vouch for the detailed accuracy of these callipers, but they are a very handy bit of kit if you do all your own bike maintenance. I use them to assess brake pad and rotor wear, tyre tread depth, etc. I take the view that if I'm using the same callipers all the time, even if they are a little out I can still judge the wear of important components.

¡Lo has encontrado!

I only use it once in a while, so want it to remain in good condition and not lose fidelity when stored - the better quality case helps with that too. So far it's done that well - I'm by far no expert but feeling it has some weight to it and the moving parts don't wobble or jerk but move smoothly, that unlike the [identical looking] $5 knockoffs can sense it really is better made and of good quality steel and other parts. Note for others: if like me it is not used for longer periods do close the jaws AND lock (firm but not over-tight) the slider when stored.

I bought this to use with 3D printing and general use. I've been using it for about a month. I've been pretty happy with this caliper. It seems like good quality. It auto-turns off and it remembers previous reading when turning on. You don't need to zero it every time you turn it on. It can do mm, inches and fractions. Pretty handy device !

It has its own box, its also very accurate. I test this by running it up and down the scale quiet fast 2-3 times in a row, if it lands at zero after that then this is generally a good test (it means it wont lose count as your moving it). Ive read the reviews before buying it, and they said it was a good unit, with the above test i can confirm it appears good. Very easy to read display.
