Super quality

E 491 ? OK!
I received the sealed package promptly. On checking the ingredients I noticed E491 was present. This ingredient can sometimes be from an animal (pig?) product. But on checking a very reliable source who confirmed that it is 100% kosher - which I assume is ok for vegans, Hallel observers, etc. Really smart product. I started my bread mix first thing today using three large scoops into my flour mix. Get it.

Great value
Always buy this bridge East it’s really good value to buy in bulk like this. It lasts me so long probably about a year..

Didnt last
Product arrived on time and well packaged. I had purchased because the yeast is not UPF. I decanted into a glass sealed jar and used for eight weeks. It was fantastic while it worked. For the last three bakes the yeasts is no longer working. I bake every day but even so I still had half the packet left so this was an extremely wasteful product. If you want no UPF great but don't expect it to last.

No problem great yeast
For the price this is excellent came alive within a minute or so and smelt great I add it straight to the mix and so far it has not disappointed. I use Marriages flour which works great with it. I have decanted in to smaller bags and froze as once opened it has a limited life span, the frozen yeast ( once defrosted) delivers just the same result.

Fast acting yeast.
Far better than the more easily available dried yeasts. I used to be able to buy this in tins at supermarkets but it seems to have disappeared from shelves. Much faster rise than Allison's which appears to take all day!
