Great Replacement
Needed a new cord for my Bose since I use them for gaming and mowing. This works just like the original.

BOSE QUIET COMFORT 2 VERSION 1 CORD WORKS WITH SLIGHT MODIFICATION.
This item did not fit my Bose Quiet Comfort 2 Version 1 headphones (QC2 manufactured before November 2005) upon receipt. These fit the Quiet Comfor 2 Version 2 headphones manufactured after a November 2005, or QC15’s. However, the extra plastic lip that is manufactured on this plug can be manually filed down to match the original plug for version 1 and works like a charm. Bose no longer makes or sells this cord for the Quiet Comfort 2 version 1 or Version 2. Get these while you can. Once you file down the extra plastic lip, it works like the original and they sound great.

Not much to say. Decent replacement cable.
It's a cable. It fits in the headphones, it does the job. Reasonable price for when your original cable breaks or gets lost (as was the case for me). Not much else to say.

Fits the QC2
I broke the cord on my Bose QC2 headphones. I bought this to replace it. It fits perfectly. The cord length seems to be the same as the original.

Update Apr 2021 -- NOT Recommended
===== See the Updates At the End ===== Many years ago, my wife bought be a pair of Bose QuietComfort 2 headphones - a big investment at around $300, but I've been "pickled tink" with them ever since. They get great sound, are very comfortable - good for HOURS of listening, and the noise cancellation works reasonably well (6+ on a scale of 10?). But over the years, both the ear pads and the cable needed to be replaced. This cable is the second one I have bought, because the first replacement began cutting out intermittently. When it arrived, I plugged it in, and it fit perfectly into my headset. I then began listening through it, and AAAAAHHHHH. Good sound again, just like I used to have. So far, in the one month plus I've been using this cord, it has worked perfectly. I particularly like the right-angle plug on the non-headphone end, as this allows me to plug it into my computer when there's something right up next to it, and it doesn't get in the way. Only time will tell if this cord lasts longer than the one it replaced. ===== UPDATE Apr 2021 ====== When I first installed this cable, I noticed a significant decrease in the volume. At first, I thought it was just me, but today, I installed the REPLACEMENT for this cable (an Amazon's Choice), and the volume is back to where it should be. My conclusion is that THIS one (the cable being reviewed here) has some sort of attenuation in the gain of the signal. That is totally unacceptable and changes my rating to two stars, and reluctantly retitle this review to NOT RECOMMENDED. It has two stars instead of just one, because it worked adequately for more than a year. ===== UPDATE Jan 2021 ====== Okay, it is now January 26, 2021, 21 Months since I ordered and received this cable. Up to this point, it has worked flawlessly. However, just today, the cable started cutting out. It will work if I press (Hard!) on the place where the cable connects to the plug, but I believe this cable has had it. It is destined for the trash. So was it worth it? At just under $9 (current price), is it worth having a cable that breaks after 21 months? I will let you decide that on your own. Some may feel that's cheap enough that they can just buy a new one at the - 18-month point? I will probably go right now and see if I can find a better cable, one that lasts longer, even if it's more expensive. I initially rated this as 5 stars, because it worked well for 1 3/4 years. I have subtracted one star now because of its lack of durability. If this had happened early on in the cable's life, I would have subtracted more stars, but after all, I DID get 21 months of good use from it. That's only 42 cents a month, so I'm leaving it at 4 stars.

It fits my Bose QC15 perfectly. Five out of five stars for that. However, 3 out of 5 for sound. It doesn't match the original cable cord. I bought this new one because i wanted an extra cable in case my original one broke. Therefore, I was able to compare the two cables. The volume through this extra one is considerably less. My current contract is in bioacoustics (picture of bird spectrograms attached) where I listen to recordings that capture bird, amphibian, and mammal sounds from forested areas. When playing the same section on a loop I have to turn up the volume from 35 to 50-55 to get a comparable volume. I do have a decibel meter so at some point I will measure the volume difference out of curiosity. Still, I'm glad I have a backup. It'll work fine. If my old one breaks, I can use this one and then increase volume on my computer or I can do it directly in the program by increasing decibels. If there's any difference in tone and pitch when it comes to the bird songs it isn't enough to notice off-hand. But that'll be something else I'll measure later on, again out of curiosity rather than something I need to do for work-related purposes. Overall, I'm okay with the purchase because it works and it fits. Incidentally I did buy a new cable for QC25 Bose headphones early this year from another vendor. I was worried my hearing was going because I had to turn volume up more than I did last year. So I'm relieved to know it could be a cable issue rather than my hearing issue (when you make a living with your ears you do NOT want to be losing your hearing). :)
