Great product, pill then bath them with this shampoo for the final flea kill and infestation iz gone. Nice aroma leaving hair sofft and shiny, non- skin irritand.

I bought this and the same medication they offer in a spray. I didn't read the instructions and thought the spray was for the floor. But my mistake may have been genius. The spray did not harm the carpet and we are flea free. In all honesty, these products do not smell good. The spray smells like rubbing alcohol. I'm happy to report that the shampoo smells, instead, like what it is -- medicine. it's not an over-powering bad smell, and you can't really smell it unless you bury your nose in their fur (which you will not be able to resist doing because this shampoo makes their fur the softest I have ever felt).

I am very pleased with this product. I was concerned it would have a strong, medicinal odor. It has a clean fragrance and some medicinal odor, but not overpowering. I live in Louisiana and fleas are fierce right now. My dog was beginning to have a hot spot from the biting and chewing to try to get to the fleas. I use K9 Advantix 2 but it's not been enough to keep the fleas off if him. After shampooing him, he rested so well and the hot spot is is healing now. My package arrived in a timely fashion, I recommend this product highly! Thank you!

My dad, who was a vet many years ago, always used Mycodex at his clinic. So that's what I looked for to use on my standard poodles during the summer flea-and-tick months. I can't find it locally, so had to order. This version of Mycodex has a nice, non-medicinal fragrance. It provides pretty good (although not complete) control of fleas and ticks. And it leaves their coats silky and clean. I'm so glad I found this product online!

We always used this for as long as i can renege and I'm 37. We always got Mycodex from the vet. The vet retired 5 years ago and no other vet carries it around here. We have tried other flea, and tick shampoos and let me tell you, Mycodex wins by long shot! I like the small myself but it's not strong so not overwhelming. It doesn't smell like medicated shampoo can. I love the color blue because I know when it's worked in good cause the blue disappears and it's extremely effective. My late Mickey was temperamental due to being blind, he was a magnet for ticks, this was the ONLY shampoo that prevented ticks. I'm very thankful Amazon has it!

My dog was having a allergic reaction to another brand. So far this stuff is good.

Seems to work ok...but truthfully, i had the same results using a bottle of Dawn dishwashing soap. And did not have to worry about this being medicated or overuse. For serious flea infestations where you may need to bath your dogs every couple days, you need something with less medication. If this worked to kill eggs or as preventative as well. then i would think more of this product. But i had fleas appear on my dogs a couple days after bathing the same as with the Dawn i used before. Would recommend this for people that need to bath their dogs every 2 weeks or less if they have both fleas and ticks from walks or camping and do not use other types of protection, like monthly topical or pills.

I'm so glad I decided to give this product a try. For the last 4 yrs the thought of summer was something we were not looking forward too. Our home would get infected with fleas, our Chihuahua would suffer so much. She would have fleas all over, raw bald spots all over. My son is very allergic to any type of bug bites. This shampoo changed all that, we are able to walk the dog outside and once she is inside there is not even 1 flea. No fleas at all in any of the 3 floors at home. It smells good. She doesn't scratch herself at all, that has her happy also. And neighbors have told me she looks so good and pretty. You do have to follow the directions exactly how they are in the bottle. We did buy disposable gloves. I did buy the house spray by the same name as the shampoo and haven't had the need to use it.
