Easy to adapt thru-axle to QR
It literally slid into place and worked perfectly. I purchased an upgraded set of wheels and was able to adapt them to my quick release frame with minimal effort and expense.

I used it to securely mount a front wheel during transport
I didn't use this for the intended purpose. I needed a way to securely mount the front wheel of my wife's new bike on a conventional wheel mount. My wife likes to have her bike mounted inside her CR-V for security and protection from the elements. Because of vertical space constrictions, we have always mounted her bike with the front wheel removed in a Rocky Mounts type of bracket. When she got a new bike with Shimano threaded axles, we needed a new plan for mounting the bike and the front wheel. A threaded fork mount easily solved the bike mount problem and this axle allowed me to mount the front wheel using an old wheel mount and a 5 mm skewer. When cheap threaded axles become available for the new 12 mm threaded axles, that will obviously be a better solution, but for now this works perfectly.

Great solution to a modern problem
This little thing allowed me to use a 12mm through axle wheel on my quick release front hub. It's very secure and seems even stronger than a normal quick release wheel connection. I also ordered several other adapters identical to this one and ended up keeping this one because it was the strongest and most well made in my opinion.

It works and the dimensions are as advertised.
A simple adapter is what this is. Just be sure of the right inner (9mm) and outer (12mm) diameter and the length (100mm) so as to turn your 12 mm thru-axle into a QR 9mm skewer for your front bike wheel hub.
