Dilettante: Definitive chocolates.
What can I say about Dilettante Chocolates? They are smooth and taste amazing. This is the best deal, by far if you like good chocolate. The family was from Belgium, they have a family history of making chocolates there. In the 1970's they opened a chocolatier in Seattle on Capital Hill. Those days, sadly are gone. You could watch them make them there in the back with a small front store that boasted seating for about 30 people. For a while, they made Grand Mariner Truffles: hand rolled. OH my. And their hand rolled truffles are worth their weight in gold, they really are the 'real deal'. I don't know if they still have a small shop on 1st and Pine (I don't live in the Seattle area anymore), but if it's there, check out their hand rolled truffles, they are exquisite.

Just as good as the original Frangos
I remember when Fredrick and Nelson store in Seattle brought Frangos to our lives. These were a favorite gift for others.Dilettante Chocolates is one of the better companies that create these lil nuggets of smooth chocolatey goodness.Popular with everyone I know! Especially the peppermint.Con... the peppermint flavor will dominate all the other's flavors!

YUM so smooth
These chocolates are very smooth. Honestly, I wanted a bit of the bitterness of dark chocolate like when you have to let it melt instead of chewing it. However, these were so good and smooth that I treat them like milk chocolate truffles and I only want to eat more of them! I think this jar is quite large and will hopefully last me a while if I limit myself to one per day. I like how fresh they are being in this jar. The white powder the other reviewer complained about is just normal truffle coating. I know they spent the extra money to make sure it didn't melt because the box said "One-day shipping" on it. From personal experience, that's really expensive.

Shipping charge makes the purchase not worth it.
These are good mint truffles. However - Last year this time they were part of Amazon prime which meant free 2 day shipping and a really good purchase. Expensive yes but delicious. Now as of this writing they are not and want nearly $9.00 to ship. They are excellent for over the holidays but the shipping price is a deal breaker and not justifiable. So it sadly looks like we will be passing on these and find other quality candies in the local area. Hopefully one day they will be back on Prime or offer free shipping and if they do ill reconsider purchasing them again.

Careful... these are sooo tasty! Like Frangos
Frango mint chocolates (from what was formerly Marshall Fields in Chicago) are one of my most favorite treats. I found these chocolate truffle mints at Costco and fell in love. They are very VERY similar to Frangos... a little softer, and the individual pieces are larger, but the satisfaction is the same. I haven't seen them at Costco lately, but was lucky to find this package through Amazon, a great price, for a really great treat! Delivery quickly and in perfect condition.

Good
The peppermint flavor was really good, 5 star. Overall I'd give the group 3.5 stars for flavor and texture. The toffee had a bit of a butterscotch flavor to it, which I am not a fan of but I think others would like. The dark chocolate was good, although I prefer Lindt. The blood orange had just a hint of orange flavor and was good, not great. The milk chocolate tasted like those cheap Palmer chocolate bunnies without the waxiness, so if you like those this would be a step up. Occasionally there are parts of the chocolate that don't melt evenly in your mouth. These might be a good chocolate for me because I like them ok but wouldn't binge eat them (like Lindor or Snickers). I was expecting addictively good from the other reviews but I didn't think so.

Dilettante ruins life with addictive products!!! Just kidding - this company makes really, really good stuff.
I normally buy the mint flavored ones, but had to try these cause I love toffee. They were Dilettante, so they were good, but I still like the mint ones which I am addicted to, I think, best. Given my addiction, this review may be unfair. They are definitely worth ordering and enjoying!I've been enjoying their chocolates since they were a tiny hole in the wall business in Seattle. I'd dance at Cornish and go there for a treat. Completely blew my program, but worth every calorie, and every penny!

So so happy with this product.
I bought these for Christmas and they were gone within two weeks. I have bought two more containers and I don't think they will last long. They are delicious and addictive. The chocolateIs so amazing and creamy it truly just melts in your mouth. The mouth feel is heavenly with zero waxy left to ruin in like in so many other chocolates. The mint is a perfect level without being overbearing or the sharp taste you get from most other mint chocolate. I will be a lifelong customer of these.
