Milwaukee the Best Tool!!!
Really happy with this Milwaukee M12 3/8" ratchet. It’s super handy, lightweight, and makes working in tight spaces way easier. Has plenty of power for most jobs and the battery lasts longer than I expected. Definitely saves time and effort. Solid tool 👍

Handier than I thought -revisited
I continue to grow my Milwaukee M12 and M18 tool bags and boxes. As a general handiman /home improvment hobbyist, around my home and cabin, Milwaukee has gotten me through 25-30 years labor saving tasks with reliable solid service. This tool is no exception. It is great for the quick little stuff that can be a PITA to get to. Whether in a small space or ackward reach it does the job. In the open it is a relief of strain and time. I find myself using this tool more every day. I have actually have gotten lazy about going for other manual and ratcheting tools. This tool is not for heavy duty use. Just guessing on 3/4 nuts or 3/8 bolts at under about 50 pounds torque, you will have to break them loose or finish tightening them with hand tools. Zipping any typical smaller stuff is easy work. Battery time is relative to the job but not bad overall, especially with the xc series batery. Never used it enough to kill a M12 battery in one use yet. One Milwaukee tool I advise against is the M12 little hackzall type thing... not enough poop, but the M18 circular saw is really strong and very handy for the small jobs. The Milwaukee M18 Vacuum is very handy ... the wife steals it regularly .. only problem is the thing is deafening loud. I also really like the M12 driver, the one with the 1/4 bit chuck. This tool is extremely handy around the house and much more sustantial than less expensive versions by others. I probably use this M12 driver the most of all my Milwaukee toys. Milwaukee in general is well worth the little extra expense. 11/4/2012--->Follow up... yep ratchet continues to be a handy, medium to light wieght, lazy man or senior, hand tool. Would like to add to my comment on the 6-1/2 M18 circular saw... great investment good tool. Had need to use it on 2 good sized outdoor projects. It's a workhorse that is good on batteries, much better tool than expected. Used intermitantly for 2 projects, each 3-4 days long, for 4x8 5/8 OSB cuts and 2x4 and 2x6 cuts. Each project required only one fresh battery change during the 3-4 days for homeowner /handy man type work. Keep a sharp blade in it. Working without being on a cord tether is really getting to be fun.

Handy little ratchet, but this one lacks torque
I am a big milwalkee fan,I love there tools,I've found them to be well built as well as way above average in reliability and power. This is the 3rd M12 ratchet I have bought in the last 15 months,I really love them.the first 2 I was very happy with,I received the 1/4" version as a birthday gift first, then fell in love with it,and I bought the 3/8" version and quickly realized it was the same exact tool, and I wanted a little more power. So I bought the XC4.0 battery for the 3/8" version, and let me tell you, what a difference! The tool got about 25 percent stronger,I was very satisfied with it,and the large battery made it easy to see which one I was grabbing,as well as lasted 3-5 days on a charge easily.I was totally happy with that until 2 weeks ago, when I tried to tighten an alternator adjustment bolt with it and my hand got stuck between the handle/tool and the frame,it didn't kick out for about 2-3 seconds, usually it kicks off perfectly well before the motor stalls but not until it's grunted pretty good......this time it was way too long, I don't know what prevents the overload circuit f,rom kicking in,but this is what caused the failure,,smoke poured out the motor, and it was fried immediately,it hardly, worked after that,it ran very slow, and stunk so I sent it back to milkwalkee and put the big battery in the 1/4" version, after a few days it became apparent that I was going to break that tiny 1/4" drive shank if I kept using it as hard as I was,so I ordered this 3/8" version, the tool only to hold me until mine comes back,at which time I'd have an extra and could leave one at work and one home, because I had a spare battery, and 2 chargers,I just bought the tool only.It came in a few days ago and I was excited to have a new m12, I put the big 4.0XC battery on it and started using it...it became apparent immediately that this tool is either defective or milwalkee has adjusted the kick out point lower to lengthen tool life at the expense of power. This ratchet has much less power than my oldest one the 1/4" drive...and also the one I sent back..it kicks off as soon as it starts building power,I've used it about 5 minutes so far,I'm hesitant to use it because I may send it back, and I don't want to use it more if I'm doing that... it's clear this isn't the tool I fell in love with, and if this were my first one,I'd never bought a second or 3rd....one thing interesting is that with the small battery, the power seems about the same as the older tools,as soon as you put the big dc battery in this new one,it kicks off almost as soon as a load starts.Im anxiously awaiting th return of my other 3/8" drive M12, so I can see if it is gutless like thiamine or the power is back...if it's a dog,I'm returning this and selling the other, and buying a snap on 3/8" ,my brother has one,it's expensive at 350.00 but it's a powerhouse and very well built...way more power than these M12s but you expect that for th cost...I always felt these m12s were worth buying over the snap ons because you could buy 3 for price of 1, I'll update whe my first 3/8" is back, for now I'm on the fence with this 3/8" version....
