It works for separating diamonds when you diamond paint! Yes, it could be used for something else, but it works like a charm. I had an entire color of diamonds stuck two at a time to one another. Perfectly separated them! And that’s all I care about! It works!

Well first of all, if they are going to market these as drill separators, they shouldn’t put a marijuana leaf on the top.As a drill separator I didn’t have much luck with it. If you push down too hard it ruins the drills. If you don’t push at all and just turn, it doesn’t separate all of the drills.

I am working on a small project now and only a few of the drills stick together. I tried using the separator on only 5 - 10 pieces, both loose and stuck together, and it only moved over them and around them. I can see that this would be ideal for larger scale paintings that use a lot of one color at a time. The bottom looks like it would be good for a tray if it had the ridge design similar to one of the trays that comes with a painting.

Yes, this a weed grinder (you can clearly tell by the picture that it's a weed grinder if you're familiar with them so I wasn't surprised as some folks were) but it does work as a drill separator too so i'm happy.

Simple to use device to break apart those stuck dots. Just put a few in, (don't over fill it) give it a couple of twists and there your go. You can hear and feel the teeth in this little tool working. Great price, ease of use, and best of all it works as intended. This is a must have item for anyone that does very many diamond drill paintings..

It works as long as you have a lot of drills that are stuck together. If you only have a few and try to use this, they will only slide around inside.What they fail to show you in the pictures is the marijuana leaf on the top. I knew it looked like a grinder.
