Tintin Paperback Boxed Set 23 Titles

Excellent packaging and original print in the actual size we read as children.. good to take a trip down memory lane and enjoy Tintin and snowy adventures.

Tintin book collection - 10/10. (Print production and packaging design.) Packaging quality/protection - 5/10. (For the weight involved...and the delicate nature of the consignment... packaging for dispatch has to be bomb proof. A plain cardboard box with no cushioning/dampening material inside just does not suffice. And its the rainy season...a plastic outer cover is mandatory. Dents in the books case...due to insufficient packaging protection. This aspect can be definitely improved by Amazon team.) This comic book set is HEAVY. OTHERWISE...this purchase is invaluable! What a blast from the past! Highly recommended!

Received an original copy in a mint condition. Packaging was also good. Really happy with the product.

I was initially doubtful because the product listing mentioned Edmount, but this box set is from Farshore, the genuine continuing brand (Edmount became Farshore a few years ago). The books are clearly original, beautifully printed on glossy paper with good quality. The print and binding feel durable, something that will easily last for decades if handled with care. Beware from the fake product in the market going by the name 'Farshare'. All in all, it’s a wonderful purchase and a childhood dream come true. Note: There’s a small empty slot in the box, likely meant for Tintin in Congo. That title’s edition in India is only available in hardbound format, so it doesn’t fit in this set.

A wonderful box collection except for a few problems. Good things: original translations by Leslie Lonsdale-Cooper and Michael Turner; all the important titles in one box; large sized colourful books; value for money 💵💰. Not so good: The paper used is not the older pulpy high quality paper we saw in the earlier generation books (Methuen, Magnet, Mammoth, Casterman, etc). It is glossy, glazed, magazine-like paper. As a result, the depth of print colour, quality, and the feel of paper we saw in the earlier generation books is missing here. Don't get me wrong though. The quality is still great but just not the same. The font style is not the original Hyslop font. I don't understand why the publishers decided to go with this new font. The original Hyslop bold font lettering was perfect. It was wonderful to read and highly engaging. I just hope the publishers will one day bring back the comics in their original format as a special edition sometime soon in the future. Until then, happy reading 🙂 💣💡💭💦💧💨💬

I was thrilled to receive this collection! I initially thought the books would be pocket-sized, but to my surprise, they are the full-sized versions with a beautiful gloss finish. The quality of the books is excellent, making it a perfect addition to any Tintin fan's library. I would highly recommend this set to anyone who loves Tintin. However, I feel the overall price could be slightly reduced to make it even more accessible. The only downside was the box that holds the books—it arrived torn. While this didn’t bother me much since the books themselves were in great shape, it might matter to someone who values the packaging as part of the product. Overall, it’s an amazing collection and definitely worth considering for yourself or as a gift!

Purchased it from Cocublu Retail. The product was in very good contition. I was especially surprised by how good the packaging was. If anyone is planning to buy this don't think twice; go for it!
