I am a retired electrical and electronics engineer. I have been looking for a multi-purpose heat gun that can do multiple jobs and is light enough for an older man to comfortably use. I used this to prepare heat shrink on several different sizes of electrical wire and cable. It was quick and comfortable for doing that without burning, damaging or melting the tubing or the wire. The Hi/Lo switch is a trigger device and allows the user to avoid having to stop to change temperature settings. (My old gun was kind of an ordeal to change the temperature settings.) With the nozzle on, moving closer or further from the tubing also has somewhat of a temperature "control" effect to avoid burning or blistering. The entire gun is VERY light in weight and is easy to hold, move and direct to get things comfortably done. it is also not excessively hot to hold when in use; actually just warm. I also used this to test electronic devices for heat sensitivity, probable or possible failure and the need for re-design, repair or replacement. It worked great! I also used it to remove some paint from a door frame that was not suitable for simple sanding or scraping. It worked perfectly in less than 2 minutes without damage to the wood. The real surprise for me was using it on a badly rusted nut and bolt holding a bracket on my ham radio tower. I had used various chemicals and wrenches trying to break it loose to no avail. I heated it with this (on low) and 30 seconds later, it was free with just a small wrench. I have NOT had to use this on HIGH yet as I have not needed to. For my purposes so far, the low setting is all that I have needed to use. In just a quick try of the high setting, the heat was almost instantaneous but the gun was not uncomfortably hot. The multi-purpose tools that come with it are both handy and useful in various jobs it can do, especially on the door frame. I am no expert on wood working. I also need to mention that my gun arrived in DOA condition from probable rough handling in shipment. I contacted customer service via email and they were also spectacular. They sent out a replacement the same day. I can certainly say that was wonderful support and service; the were truly concerned. When I purchased this (over other similar products), I read the reviews posted online about it. They were all good or very good and well earned in my opinion. This gun has proved to be that or better for me, while the customer service has proved to be superb! This is a "no-brainer" 5 star rating. I am exceptionally pleased with it and it has far exceeded my expectations of what I was purchasing.

Absolutely glad I got it!! My daughter had gone sticker crazy at one point and I could never get them off ! until now the heat gun worked perfectly! Took the stickers off within seconds plus the gun came with all sorts of attatchments to scrap them off as well. I have a few arts and crafts projects that went a little wrong with the paint job now I can easily rectify that !! The gun itself feels and looks really professional yet it’s still lite and easy to hold Lots of cool attatchments come with it as well! It’s really better than I expected for such an inexpensive price!

I wasnt sure if this wouldve held up for my expectation as I used it for 2 different purposes.I used it first to remove tint from my cars taillight. There are two different "settings" - so I used the "1" which is just enough heat to raise up the edges of the tint for it to peel off the light without really leaving any sticky residue.When the tint was off - i used it variably to head the lights surface just a bit to cleanly wipe of the residue. - Worked GREAT! with no hiccups.2nd thing I used this for was to apply tint - Worked GREAT as well too!I think i will be using this in my home for the next project requiring removal of paint and then for applying automotive color wrap.So Far, So Good!

I bought this to replace my cheap Harbor Freight heat gun, which died the other day after close to 3 years of faithful service. I wanted an upgrade, since I work with wood, electronics, and a bunch of other things where a heat gun comes in handy.Between the 19% off coupon and the extra accessories, this is an incredible value. The heat gun itself is great. With the two stage switch and the dial on the back of the gun, you can get an extreme range of temperatures. The LCD readout seems to be accurate enough, effectively giving you total control of the temperature.My initial impression is that this was a great buy. I’m hoping it will hold up well too.

This thing worked well for what I wanted. I used it for shrink wraping my wiring on my LS2 swap in my truck. This is going in to a 70 F100 so I had to completely build my own harnes. As you can see, thats why I had to have a heat gun. Worked amazing.

Great product. It's light weight and feels comfortable in your hand. Has rubber grip for non slip. Came w many accessories as well. Definitely a great buy and you will surely find many more uses for it in future no matter what purpose you intended at time of purchase. Performs as well as much higher priced branded versions I've used in the past. I'll chime back in on reliability as time passes. No complaints so far.

Works pretty well. Used it to strip a board of wood that had 50+ year old paint on it. Board stripped in minutes! (Still need to sand big at least I don’t have a thick layer of paint gumming up my sandpaper now). Way less messy that using chemical stripper. Instruction booklet a little sparse. Had a few attachments included that I am not sure what they are for. Also missing a stand. Not sure if it was supposed to come with a stand (instruction booklet said stand included) but a stand would be very helpful seeing as the end of the heatgun gets very very hot. But in general, pleased with the product.

My daughter lives in an old house and in some areas the paint layers are 17-20 thick! This looked like just the thing to help get down to the original wood! It worked like a charm!! With the heat gun and small scrapers we even got into the ornate designs! This thing get super hot! I am very happy with this heat gun and have a growing list of project to complete!
