Plan your bucket list tours!
A nice little book but most of the places shown are very well known so it might be a book to reminisce with rather than plan adventures with.

Great gift for my father
Bought as a gift for my father who is nearing retirement and thought this would give him and my mum some interesting places to visit to keep them occupied. Looks like a lovely book.

Fabulous gift book
I love the places and trip ideas, but mostly how they are introduced with well researched history, quirks and whit. Super fun read. Accompanied by atmospheric photos that transport you and help fully imagine your next trip. Thanks for the wonderful book!

One to keep in the campervan
It’s not quite as detailed as I was hoping for and not so many different or quirky things to do, but it’s a nice book, one we will keep in our new campervan and I’m sure we will look to seek out some of the suggestions. It’s a nice looking book too so looks homely in the van

Excellent book full of great places to visit
Excellent book, bought for my mothers birthday. She really enjoys planning new trips to places she has never thought of going to or learning more about places we have been recently.

Lovely present
I bought this for a "special" birthday, with a promise to take the recipient away for a weekend to a place of their choice once that's possible again after lockdown. The book itself looked very attractive. As others have said the photos are beautiful and the recipient was really pleased with it and has enjoyed looking through it. I had a flick through before sending it on - my only reservation would be that if you have travelled in the UK you may already have visited many of the places. I had either visited or at least heard of quite a number of the places in the book. But for my purposes it was absolutely spot on and well received so I would recommend. But it's one to browse through, not a travel guide as such.

Perfect for my traveller niece

The facts are interesting but there’s no map! Why not include a map plotting the points of interest?! Very inconvenient book for travel.
