Journaling -gaining insight
I used this product to learn more on how my past & current trauma has effected me in all aspects of my life. An informative detailed helpful book. Author provides positivity feedback which is beneficial when you don't hear much of that in life. The excercises were a bit difficult to do but are relevant for progress. Currently still working on these excercises. Book informative. Author seems sincere & one is able to work at your own pace with the individual journal exercises. Able to refer to material for further understanding. Will buy more books from this author.

Very useful adjunct for Therapy and clients find it so helpful.
I love this book to help my Therapy clients who deal with PTSD , anxiety and depression. I often suggest it as a resource for them when they start therapy. The author writes in a straightforward manner, and all sections in the book are easy to navigate right away. This book also has a section with Cognitive Processing Therapy exercises. I highly recommend this book.

Great for anyone who has experienced trauma
Wowie! This book is GREAT! I got it for a client in need of psycho education, but did not realize how helpful it would be. It doesn’t focus on one trauma group, and can be applied to anyone who has experienced trauma. It provides well illustrated worksheets the the client can use to track their symptoms. It also explains the trauma concept from a neurobiology standpoint. This will work well in conjunction with therapy.

Purchased this book with High Hopes
Purchased this book with high hopes of healing some important issues in my life. If someone has gone through physical trauma, this would be highly recommended. I find that trauma comes in many forms and not all are addressed within this book. Emotional trauma is a valid and serious form of trauma which does not seem to be addressed. I do believe that both physical and psychological trauma stay with a person and can make their life extremely difficult in many ways and don't see how authors could miss the mark.

As for me a lot of it doesn't seem to apply.
I believe that this book will help someone else much better than for me.

Wish I had chosen a printed version
This is a great book for people like me, who is dealing with the trauma of a long hospital stay - much of which I was close to death. However, there are so many written exercises that having the Kindle version made me feel like I wasn't able to get the full benefit. I wish Amazon would provide advice on the content so that buyers could make an informed choice on which version would be best!

Equipping
These strategies are to equip and help you cope. Doesn’t bring healing.

Confused
This book could be helpful but I think it depends on what part of your recovery path you are on. For me, it triggered terrible feelings and I think I should have used it in professional counselling if I am honest.
