Good cheap, solid machine.
I've been looking for pillar drill for a while. This arrived quickly and was securely packaged, good price too. Setup was easy, only had to look at the instructions for fitting the Chuck. So the Chuck then.....not sure if my little puny arms just weren't enough to fit this tightly enough ( it's just a push and twist after all) but i'd a few false starts with it falling off mid job. Ended up taking a soft mallet to it and it hasn't moved since. Can't fault the machine for this as it seems reading the reviews for other similar products its the same across the board, a mechanical fixing would have been nice though.I bought this primarily for knife making, so use on metal and wooden handles. I've left the speed down low and it's went through everything I've thrown at it.I'd say it's a good solid buy, only had it a while and it gets soradic use so can't comment on longevity yet but if it breaks I'll update this.Hint, good quality bits and cutting lub are the key with this.

Rattling belt cover
Poor fitting on belt cover causes it to rattle a lot and no pin location on the table for 0 degrees, otherwise nice piece of equipment

Made with cost cutting parts.Better off buying a decent second hand brand of quality.
Chuck is way too big, cannot hold any drill bit below 3mm,and when running is noisy and vibrates alot.So it really hasn't got much going for it in practicality terms.

Value for money
Solid, powerful, easy to assemble, does the job, very cheap! My first drill press, so I have nothing to compare it with. A tiny bit of wobble when drill is fully down, so it’s worth adjusting the height of the job so that it bites early. Depth of holes possible seems a bit limited. Don’t know if that’s normal, but I expect so. Not going to be an issue very often. I will need to get used to setting up jigs and clamps and being a bit more organised. No bad thing. I’m very happy with the drill

Quality Atrocious !!
Avoid like the PLAGUEBuild quality is atrocious, motor mounts inadequate as motor moves in use and its drive belt sheds rubber.Drills Oval holes and vibratesNo work clamping vice, have to buy separateCosts 25% of its Price to Return , due to size and wt, and NO Vendor or Amazon RefundVendor is useless, a very bitter experience overall

Very poor product
Very poor quality with drill table not level. Product returned and had to wait nearly three weeks for a refund. Still awaiting refund of return postage. Extremely disappointed with after sales service

A good piece of kit for the price.
Considering it's not a professional machine it's perfect. I could fault it but I'm not going to because it does exactly what I want it to do - drill holes. I feel sorry for the one star reviewers who received a less than satisfactory machine. The drill does a minor amount wobble with the chuck but once it starts cutting the wobble stops. As for torque - well it is belt driven which helps with 'drill snatch'. I'd rather have belt slip than strain a motor. If your drills are sharp you'll have no trouble. If you've received a sub standard machine, get it replaced; mine is great.

Good value for money
I do a lot of metal work so I decided to try this out and for its money it fine! Drills ok, no jams, the chuck is almost too big but you can change it if you want. For me it’s perfect. Build quality is ok. So far so good.
