Blue based but looks purple
This is a very deep blue so works well for me because I have a lot of red in my brown hair that I like to cool down. I only used it on my roots but let it sit on my lengths when I rinsed it out, for a bit. I never follow instructions so put it on dirty dirty hair for about 3 hours and covered in cling film then shampooed with my normal anti-dandruff shampoo then conditioned. I don’t think it needs this long to take, it was very very dark and covered my greys completely. After a couple of washes it still looks very very dark. This is a heavily pigmented dye so I had a blue scalp in a couple of places even tarter my second wash, but that’s why it covers greys I guess. Water runs blue, might stain your shower if you don’t rinse it off straight away. Didn’t damage my hair, actually felt stronger. I’ll be getting this from now on. Sorry I didn’t do a before photo but I had lots of white hairs at my roots prior to the root job 🙂

Favourite dye
Will always recommend crazy colour. Easy application and brilliant colours, no weird or strong smell. I find it easy to apply on damp hair but works on dry hair too. Leaves my hair feeling really soft and silky.

Perfect hair dye !!
Love the shade, so vibrant, easy to use, washes out without staining the tiles, will stain the towels but I keep towels especially for when dying my hair, lasts for ages and I get lots of compliments, love it and will highly recommend!!

No reaction, definitely semi permanent and covered my green hair
I've never ever used crazy colour dye before. I tried the canary yellow around 2 weeks ago and the formula is great, works really well. I wanted to change things up though which is why I got the semi permanent black. I've had green hair for over a year and I'm constantly wanting to add other colours with it because just green feels so plain. I didn't like the yellow too much and decided to do half green and half black this week. I've never had black hair because I'm actually allergic to black henna tattoos and whenever I've patch tested black dyes, I have gotten reactions to them but no other colour. Patch tested the black and it was fine so i used it but still took precautions. To my surprise, there was no reaction! It did make my hair feel a bit stiff after using it like all the oils got stripped from my hair but the emerald green I used for the other side felt smooth, soft and silky. I used to always use la riche directions but have found the colour slips from my hair in an instant because the porosity of my hair is so bad it doesn't even take to permanent dye. I haven't washed my hair since I only dyed it yesterday but it has definitely rubbed off onto my pillows and wall that I lean against. I'm really happy with this brand of dye and might use it more often because the colours are so vibrant and are WAY better for me than la riche directions and those harmful box dyes. The only thing I had to do differently was add a small dot of the black to the emerald green because apparently it comes out more neon and I wanted the blue from the black to make it a bit more 'pine green'. All in all, I'm impressed and will be buying from this brand more often. (UPDATE) the black definitely has faded which is perfect! I wasnt sure if I was committed to the black so I'm glad it had faded. The black did cover my green hair too. All in all, I love these hair dyes!

The black dye turns your hair BLUE
Oh how I wish I'd paid more attention the reviews specifically about the black shade. I bought this specific product on the recommendation of my hairdresser, who suggested mixing the dye with an equal amount of conditioner and applying it like a mask for 20 minutes. My hair is naturally fairly dark, I've been colouring it for years to disguise the greys. A while ago I made the decision to stop colouring it and see how I look with my natural hair plus the grey. I've got about 4cm of roots and there is an obvious line. Recently my hairdresser put in some highlights to blend the roots in a bit and then suggested the above mask idea to blend everything in. It seemed like a good idea, in theory. Things started to go wrong straight away. I carefully sectioned my hair and used both a brush and my gloved hands to apply the dye mixture. Within minutes my scalp started to turn bright blue but there was no going back at that point. I applied it to the rest of my hair and hoped for the best. 15 minutes later I rinsed it out. And rinsed. And rinsed. The water ran blue, then purple, then a dirty blue. I shampooed and rinsed again, until I ran out of hot water (approx 15 minutes) but the water never ran clear. By now my bathtub was also stained a dirty blue with purple patches. Right away I could see my scalp is still bright blue. And as I dried my hair, the full scale of the disaster became apparent. Yes, my hair is darker but its very patchy and there is still some orange showing through from my previous colour. When the light shines on it, my hair is in fact a dark dirty blue / teal shade. Worse than that, all the highlights and the natural grey strands are a bright but dirty blue/green colour that looks horrendous. I've no idea how I'm going to rectify this. My parting is very noticeably blue, as are random streaks of hair. I guess I'll be spending the rest of the weekend endlessly washing my hair in an attempt to get rid of the awful colour. But I've got a horrible feeling I will be seeing my hairdresser again very soon

Errrrrr.. not too sure?
There's some colours of crazy colour that I absolutely adore. Their yellow is 👌🏻. Candyfloss? Not so much. My hair is pre-lightened. And when I say pre-lightened I mean I've not cut my hair in ages so the bottom bits of my hair have been bleached 5+ times over the years (I'd hate to actually count 🥴), the middle is around 3-4 times, and then my roots have only been done once. My hair was white. And when I say white I mean if you put my head in front of snow I would blend in and look bald 😂. The end have taken beauuutifully. The middle is faded and you can see white through it. The roots, as they're more on the yellowy side and only been bleached once, basically hasn't take. It's also gone patchy from the middle to the roots across my head.. where it's kind of taken, but not really, and some parts look untouched (and trust me.. not a single part had been left!). Usually with my hair the ends take amazing to colour as they're thirsty, but are the fastest to fade. Middle also usually takes really well, and the roots tend to be the lightest but you can't see the colour underneath.. they're just paler. So like they say "needs to be used on pre-lightened hair".. this colour needs thirsty pre-lightened hair. As in your whole head has been bleached multiple times (do NOT do this in a short period of time as you will wreck your hair - mine has been done over a prolonged periods of time but it's still thirsty at the bottom.. but not gummy like dead hair.. it's actually really shiny which is why I haven't added a photo as you can't tell anything due to the shine 😂). I'm not topping it up as I'll have the same results. I'm just going to let it wash out (and help it wash out) and then eventually I'll create my own pastel pink with a pink (with colour and conditioner as I've previously done multiple times) from a more expensive and more pigmented brand (crazy colours can be hit and miss and their more pastel colours are lacking). If your hair is thirsty AF and the whole of it has been bleached 5+ times then this colour is for you. If it hasn't? It'll likely go patchy and not take in some places but take in others!

Cyclamen worked on my bleached hair and my natural dark brown
I have dark brown hair and Cyclamen works well on it, gives a lovely shade of purple which gets lots of compliments. I also tried the same colour on my hair after bleaching, it was more pink than purple on my bleached hair, still a lovely vibrant colour.
