Rockport Cobb Hill Women's Sandy Pump

I have always had troubles with shoes, as my feet are big (size 11), flat, wide, and difficult to fit even in sneakers. The last heel I bought (6+ years ago) broke my toe and I swore off heels ever since. Feeling a bit left-out of the whole feminine shoe craze, I recently began a new search for comfortable heels, which is much harder than I initially presumed. Eventually, I found the Cobb Hill brand from New Balance and I narrowed my eye to this shoe, the Sandy Pump. The overall look of this pump is classic, a bit 1940s-esque, no-nonsense shoe. I do adore the look of this heel and it's even better in person. Though they may be slightly "old-fashioned" for some people, the classic lines, simple ruching, and single button really won me over. The colour I purchased was the Merlot, which is a rich, wine-ish cranberry colour. When I first slipped it on, the feeling was amazing, soft like a memory foam mattress. I usually have a lot of problems with the heel of the shoe digging into the back of my ankle, but not so with this shoe. It's wonderfully padded and there is no rubbing at all. It's really a dream shoe . . . for people with only mildly troublesome feet. I wore these for about two hours before my toes were killing me. Ugh. I was kind of disappointed, but I definitely will give them some more tries. I'm not sure if I just need to get used to them (as I haven't worn heels in a long, long time) or if they are slightly too big (my toes were sliding forward a bit), but these are definitely the most comfortable dress shoes I've had in a long time.My foot woes should not put you off buying this shoe, as I honestly believe this is one of the nicest pairs of dress shoes I've ever worn - not just in style and design, but in comfort and workmanship as well. If you're looking for a comfortable dress shoe, Cobb Hill is one of the brands you should be considering.

Yay Cobb Hill for making a wide shoe that actually gives my toes room to breathe. The leather is soft and supple and the cushioning is really perfect.The fit of this style was a little iffy for me--I have wide toes and narrow heels and ankles, so these ended up fitting great in the toe but quite loose in the heel. I had to "customize" the fit by adding heel cushions and some cushioning on the vamp. So, they work and they are the perfect color I was looking for. I haven't done a whole lot of walking in them yet, though I imagine the soft leather will not require any breaking in.I'd be a lot happier if the fit were more accurate for me in the 6W. I'd probably do better with something that had laces, a buckle strap, or some other way to adjust the fit on the instep or ankle. Overall, Bravo to Cobb Hill for making shoes that are comfortable and stylish for people who like room in the toes!

I don't know if these shoes would fit better if they were size 7W, but the 7.5W has to be worn with thicker socks, otherwise, the foot just slides around and almost slips out of the shoe. The comfort of the shoe is the toe, ball of the foot and mid-foot is unparalleled. I have never worn anything this soft and comfortable on the first day of wear. I think I will stuff something on the toe area of each shoe to prevent my feet from sliding around in them, and this will be the best pair of shoes I own.

Instant great comfy fit. Will look great with both slacks and skirts. But was super surprised to receive the shoes with scuff marks on both shoes. They were on the toe and top of toe box of one shoe and side and heel of the other. Should not have been shipped in that condition. Didn't think I was buying 2nds from a knock down retailer! Have returned them for a new pair. Am hoping for a truly brand new pair this time.

These were just as pretty as I had hoped. The merlot color was so dark & rich & pretty. I walked around the house in these and the soles felt super comfortable and cushioned like the walking in them would be amazing. However, the fit was a little wide. I wear a 9.5M and the shoes pooched on the sides and slipped on my foot. I was very disappointed because I really wanted to make them work.

I am so pleased with these shoes. We do a lot of traveling. I needed something that I could easily get on and off for our stops, and I wanted style too. These fit perfectly with my ankle white socks on. The stretch is perfect giving my foot total support as I do have edema in my feet along with painful neuropathy from 4 1/2 months of chemo damage. I no longer have to look like I'm walking with Frankenstein feet. These shoes look awesome, feel awesome, perfect support and they are easy on and easy off. The heel is just the right height too. Makes my legs look a little bit longer ;-) I am extremely pleased with them. They are very well made and the quality shows inside and out. Even the shoe box is high end quality. I bought 2 styles of Cobb Hill Shoes. Both shoe boxes were shipping in one large unmarked brown box from Amazon. If you choose a Cobb Hill shoe, you won't be disappointed.

Sole Desire Shoes was the supplier of the shoes, and sent me a worn, terribly scuffed up shoes that looks second hand. One side was also sun bleached !! It was so awful, I had to return it. The color was no way near the picture on the internet and looked like an ugly brown rather than Merlot. The shoe itself was relatively comfortable.

I love the Cobb Hill brand of shoes because the quality is great. These shoes are pretty and real comfortable. I would purchase another Cobb Hill brand again when on sale.
