Easy to clean, tastes great after filtration, very functional and easy to use. Awesome bit of kit and half the price if not more than half of branded competitors. Good size on it as it fills my coffee machine water tank off 1 fill. Honestly, I wouldn't be spending a penny more on anything else after getting this.

Great water filter

I bought this for my mum who is 84 and lives a long way away from me. The first jug arrived with a large crack in near the handle and another in the body. But as she has mobility (and other) problems she didn't feel able to return it. So I contacted the company directly and they sent a new replacement to my mum within a few days. This new one is fine so it must have been a one-off. The filter works really fast and my mum is very pleased with it. Says the difference in the taste of the tap water is amazing! I also like the fact that - although the replacement filter cartridges are not cheap - they last 3 months for a family of 4. So my mum will only need to change the cartridge 3 or 4 times a year.

I tested my tap water before and after running it through this jug using the A5 magnesium filter. Before filtering, my tap water measured between 180-250 ppm for calcium. After filtering, the test strip was on the opposite end of the scale and remained a very pale yellow colour, implying that most if not all of the calcium had been removed. I bought this primarily to help reduce limescale build up inside my coffee machine and based on what I've seen I expect it will do exactly that. Replacement filters appear to be fairly cheap, filter speed was more than quick enough for what I'll be using it for, and the size of the water tank is perfect to top up my Gaggia E24 coffee machine. I also checked the filtered water with a TDS meter. Although it dropped from around 220 to about 180 after filtering, I’ve since learned that TDS on its own isn’t a useful indicator of limescale risk — the hardness strip is what really matters, and that clearly showed a major reduction in calcium.

I recently purchased the Aquafor Water Filter, and I’m really impressed with its performance! The water tastes fresher and cleaner, and I can really tell the difference compared to regular tap water. I bought this as it was on offer and the filters are inexpensive to replace. The filter is not clear for if it needs replacing or when it needs replacing. I'm assuming it will move itself but has Roman numerals so is confusing. Apart from that it seems good for the money. But the filter part needs to be clearer.

Mycket bra kanna och filter. Enda nackdelen är att det är lite svårt att få in den o kylskåpsdörren om man har ett litet kylskåp. Men jag kan leva med det.
