How long does the battery last?

I don't know exactly. Long enough for my kind of work, but mainly, as I wrote in my comment, I prefer to use the pen connected with a wire because the blue tooth is not perfect.

Can I store the scanned text inside the pen itself or must I lug along my laptop and connect the pen to it before scanning?

Hi Dropspun, I used this product. The unit doesn't store scanned text. You need connec it to laptop through cable or bluetooh.

Can this device be used to copy lines from an ebook?

Hi, We are very sorry but it cannot be used to copy lines from an ebook. Only over a sheet of paper

can it read just english? can it read korea, chinese.. and so on
