Sta-Lube Constant Velocity (CV) Joint Grease SL3174-4 Wt. Oz. Tube, Extreme Pressure, Anti-Seize Grease

Seems to be fine for CV joints. I used the entire tube for 1 CV joint/boot replacement

Used it to add extra lube tie rods. I appears to be the same as the small amount the came with the inner tie rods.

Worked great, easy to squeeze bottle. Was able to fill the boot without taking it off of the axel.

This is probably fine for most applications. My understanding is that the outboard bearing is fine with many extreme pressure wheel bearing greases, but many (most?) manufactures call for an inboard (tripod) bearing grease that is a non-moly, polyurea-based grease. That is not what this is. I only needed to limp home with a leaky boot and this was convenient for squeezing more grease into the broken boot (which, BTW, I "repaired" with good duct tape. The duct tape worked brilliantly - MUCH better than expected!! Clean the boot carefully with detergent and perhaps alcohol, then carefully tape over the hole).

Great lube for cv axle and great value

Used it in my 1971 VW beetle.

Had to reboot my cv axle. Hard to figure out if cv boot includes grease so bought it as a back up. Did use this over the grease included in the boot.

Finally came in and just in time!
