DEWALT 18V Cordless Drill Combo Kit , 2-Tool (DCK235C)

My wife surprised me with a DeWalt reciprocating saw that used the DeWalt 18v XRP batteries. I hated the fact that I rarely use the saw and have these perfectly good batteries sitting around rarely getting used, so I looked for other DeWalt power tools that also used 18V batteries. I found this set of tools in that search. This is a FANTASTIC value. I have no clue how this bundle is so inexpensive. I can't recommend this set enough to anyone who already doesn't own a power drill and/or impact driver. I used the impact driver heavily for two days while getting ready for a house-warming party and it performed admirably. I didn't even need to switch out the XRP battery with a replacement. I'm super impressed and extremely happy with the two tools.

I've put this kit to the test especially the impact drill building entire decks and used for some automotive tasks without skipping a beat. The drill has more power than my Rigid 18volt lithium ion (I really like Rigid but... I had it replaced under warranty on my third drill and now the batteries are crap), it surprisingly will turn over a 4.0 6cyl Jeep engine (without the spark plugs in) on the drill mode. Sort of a torture test I guess... i do this twice a year to a back up motor that sits on an engine stand. Although this kit has the older NiCad batteries, there are some benefits. They're not AS picky about charging in cold weather vs LiOn batteries and they're happier to sit when not in use without loosing their charge ability. I hope this review helps. Also, the carry bag has plenty of room for bits etc.

What can I say I am a big fan of Dewalt tools. This set is great comes with a bag which is very useful. This bag (with the Dewalt tools)is all I need for most of the jobs I do around the house. The impact gun is amazing it has handled jobs that I thought be to tough for it. In fact be careful with it can easily snap a screw. But once I learned its strength I can do both small and big jobs.

This is my first battery-powered drill. After charging the battery with the included charger unit I used it with a grinding wheel for some metal work. Really nice to have drill with freedom of movement [no cord]. I like the feel and power of this unit. Very satisfied.

DEWALT DCK235C 18-Volt Nicd 2-Tool Kit I purchased this combo a month ago and can't be more satisfied the impact gun really drives the screws and the and the cordless drill is handy to either drill or screw saves time on the job when the combo is used. Price shipping and quality product amazon hit it out of the park with this. Thanks Bob

The DC825 Impact Driver arrived with a significant wobble at the tool chuck. Bits move 2-3mm at the tip, and I can see the chuck is not straight. This is not acceptable. Not sure if I am the only one with this problem as I seem to have read a similar review somewhere. Contacted seller, waiting to hear what will happen to resolve this. Also, both tools seem to be of a bit less quality than my 10-12 year old DeWalt pieces. Not sure if they are inferior, they just appear to be not as nice. Specifically the drill, it looks cheesy …… Made in Mexico …… Battery is not an XRP, a little smaller.

I have had a Ryobi rechargeable set for over a decade. All of my batteries were dead or dying so I opted to buy this set rather than shell out money for new Ryobi batteries. I'm very impressed with the power and sturdiness of these two drills. I'll be migrating over to DeWalt for all of my other rechargeable tools. The impact wrench is a device I haven't previously owned and it has been extremely useful in removing some rusted bolts, drilling into concrete and sinking some heavy duty lag bolts.

This drill combo is top of the line tools at a bottom line price you can't beat it anywhere. The battery life is outstanding with 18v the only down fall which isn't that bad is the weight but that just mean it won't break if you drop it....great deal
