Eclipse Professional Tools E227 Machinists' Scriber

I have lots of scribes, but you can never have too many. I like the style of this one, and it was nice and cheap so gave it a go. It's fantastic quality, and really works well. It's hard, sharp, and is very comfortable. I'd definitely buy it again.

well finished and comes in pouch to store it which was nice. the knurled section on the scribe provides adequate grip and the point looks like it will keep it sharpness quite well and for the money I think it is very good value. Would buy this again with no apprehension.

Sharp point good for purpose easy to handle

Initially I was very pleased with this, but it has definitely lost its sharpness after very little use on mild steel. I am now looking for another scribe. Possibly a tungsten carbide one.

Does exactly what it’s supposed to I.e. scribes lines onto metal. It’s sharp and pointy as you would expect.

When it arrived I thought that it was just a plain center pop. I did try it with the lightest of hammers, it doesn't have any hardening on the tip but by being none hardened, it can be sharpened to an exceedingly sharp point (I use a fine diamond file). The knurled shank / handle was nicely knurled and gave me a secure hold on to hold it even if I had oil on my gloves, so I still managed to have a secure grip. For the money, it's a deal for the price.
