Q: Will this work for vt20? my vt20 model says to use this bulb, but the product description above says "models vt03, vt05, vt15, vt16, vt18, & vt19."

I have one of the Verilux Lamps that has the model of "HappyLight VT20" and on the lamp it uses this exact bulb for a replacement. If you look higher up in the "About this Item" you'll see that this bulb is the, "36 Watt Natural Spectrum replacement bulb for the following HappyLight models: HappyLight Liberty 10K Energy Lamp - VT20WW1; HappyLight Liberty 7.5K Energy Lamp - VT15WW1; HappyLight 5000 Energy Lamp - VT05FWW1; HappyLight 4500 Energy Lamp - VT03JJ1." The VT20 that you mentioned is listed in that first model. I hope that helps!

Q: How do you remove Verilux 36352 - CFML36VLX Compact Fluorescent Light Bulb from the VT05 lamp? Is there a release of something?

For the light we own no longer have instructions so we figured it out by trial. 1) remove front shield, 2) remove/unscrew 2 knurled plastic coated screws on 2 sides of the mounting device, 3) pull out entire assembly of plastic mounting and bulb, 4) remove bulb by pulling out bottom, 5) insert new bulb, 6) plug bulb in mounting device back into lamp housing, 7) insert knurling plastic screws

Q: has this bulb exploded when replaced and turned on?

This worked just fine for me! I bought it to replace my co-worker's bulb that I broke, and it's been working well since late November.
