Nice and sturdy ND Filter
Great when its an extremely bright day really helps to clear the image and darken it. It comes in a protective case and good packaging. The grip on the sides of the filter is great and made of good quality material. Its adjustable and works well when adjusting. I use my black mist filter more but this one is very handy as well. DONT make the mistake I made and buy one that fits one your lenses with a small diameter, make sure you buy the one that fits your largest lens and you can use step up rings with your smaller lenses in order to save money. I bought this one for my RF 50mm lens and its tiny and wont fit my other lenses.

Essential bit of kit for a videographer
I have used other variable ND filters in the past and whilst I didn't ever come across any real issues with them, I did brake my last one when dropping it in a car park!! So I bought this one having already been very impressed with the K&F square filter kit, I thought I would try them again and they haven't disappointed. I mostly use the VND filter when filming (the square kit is not ideal for filming) and in the summer it's a must-have piece of kit. The case that comes with the filter is really handy for chucking in a bag and I know it will be protected. the twisting rings are nice and chunky so its really easy to change the strength which is hand when filming. The image quality is great with no noticeable colour casting and you don't get the wired X that you can sometimes get with the cheaper VNDs. With a VND at this quality and price point, I really see no need to invest £300 in one. My only very slight gripe is that I cant use my lens hood with it and the lens cap doesn't fit as snuggly as it does on the lens, meaning I cant just leave it on.

Excellent, but 95mm vnd doesn't fit 95mm Len's cap
Still to use for an extended period of time, but please be aware that the outside diameter is larger than the threaded size. I bought a 95mm thread and that is perfect, however the 95mm Len's cap that I bought does not fit. It is too small.

Superb Quality
ND Filters are an essential for some types of photography such as moving water effects - and which I suspect I'm overdoing a bit.... And of course there are millions to buy and a huge range of costs. I've tried loads from the super cheap Chinesium resin to some decent quality ones and now this. First off it's optical glass. And that makes a difference because the resin type whilst not bad if you treat then with utter care tend to scratch easily and of course the optical quality no matter what the blurb says is not nearly as good as decent glass. Secondly it's really well made. I mean up there with the stupid priced stuff well made which I've tried and used in a well known camera warehouse. This is a genuine 100% top class bit of kit in terms of the standard of manufacture and the general feel of it. Smooth in action with a perfect optical clarity across the range of density. In use it is super easy. Fit - which is smooth given the well made thread and then rotate the outer ring to the desired level of darkness. It saves a load of faffing with different filters or stacking them. Honestly, if you want a good range of ND filter (not graduated of course) then this is a great choice. I used it on my Zeis Batis lens and it worked a treat.

Great for motion blur and wide aperture video
I’m always dubious when it comes to filters as I have seen some cheap ones in that past that really degrade image quality. This neutral density film seems really good though. It seems well made and screws on nicely on my canon EF-M lenses. The twisting adjuster works easily and smoothy and has the various stops marked on it. Performance is really good too. There doesn’t seem to be a vignette or any other visible marks or patches on photos. The photos seem to be just as sharp and have the same quality as when shooting without the filter. I can’t tell any difference. It comes in a nice holder although this is way bigger then the filter itself. The range of stops on the filter is good too and helps to slow things down for some major motion blur. It also works well for open aperture video. For the price I am really impressed with the quality and results.

No X!
I needed a new ND filter and after much research I decided this was the one! The reviews were mostly favourable and I wasn’t seeing a whole load of “stuck on lens” comments, although for those that have got filters stuck I assume they’ve tightened them up way more than they should have! The lens comes in a plastic box unlike its larger siblings which come in a faux leather case that feels a lot nicer, so that’s a minor downside, if you don’t pay attention you could potentially open and have the filter fall to the ground, just be careful and don’t get distracted while opening! In practice it works fantastically well, the movement through the ND range feels very smooth and feels like you’re moving something that is well engineered, and crucially there’s no X like you can get with some filters. I’ve used it in winter sunshine and have had no issues, the range of ND values has been sufficient, it might be interesting to see how it fares in the blazing summer sun, but I’m a happy customer with it currently. As with all things optical, it’s not cheap but it’s also not outrageously priced, a little cheaper and it would be firmly into the bargain category but I think it’s slightly too high, so it’s a neutral feeling on value for me. That said, I bought a larger one for my 78mm lens based on how good this one felt and spoiler alert, the 78mm is just as good! I may just buy some adaptors in the future so I can use a larger filter on a smaller lens and then have everything covered with single purchases, but for the moment this will do!

No Black X
I picked up a couple of these K&F Concept variable ND filters in different thread sizes for my lenses, and they're decent enough for the price point, though they come with some notable compromises. The build quality feels solid, and I'm pleased to report there's no dreaded black 'X' pattern when you crank them up to their highest stop. That's always been my biggest a problem with cheaper variable NDs, but not these. However, they're definitely not as neutral as I'd hoped, leaning quite noticeably towards a yellow tint that becomes more noticeable as you increase the density. This colour shift became a real issue on a recent live streaming job where I had multiple cameras. Even though everything was set to identical settings and white balance, the yellow cast from this filter was so strong that I had to remove it entirely to keep the colour matching consistent across all the feeds. They also soften the image slightly more than I'd like, which isn't ideal when you're trying to maintain that crisp look. For casual shooting or situations where perfect colour accuracy isn't critical, they'll do the job fine, but if you're doing anything where colour consistency matters, you might want to invest in something pricier.
