Overall, great device.One note to add to the thermostat manual: when you first connect, you must push the LED on the outlet switch to begin pairing- typically finds it very quickly. After that, the thermostat should send out a transmission to the switch once every twenty seconds, according to the manual- so there shouldn't be any issue with the outlet shutting off due to its five minute safety shut-off (if it receives no transmission from the thermostat).It was a little difficult to find the instructions for how to change the temperature from Celsius to Fahrenheit, but it was easy enough to do- instructions are on the last page.If there were one thing I would improve, it is that, when it switches from Celsius to Fahrenheit, it only sets the temperature in Fahrenheit increments equivalent to one degree Celsius (normally around 2°F); however, it still works quite well.

This switch cuts off after 5 mins of idle to protect the device doesn’t make sense. Why should it cut off if u insert a setting to cut off at I.e 78 degrees and turn on if it falls below that but if the Device idles for 5 mins the switch just cuts off ... this is bad shouldn’t be selling this to consumers especially if you intend on using this for a toddlers room for their comfort, what if it I’m in a deep sleep and my child freezes because of a faulty programming cut off after 5 mins of idle to protect equipment. NONSENSE.!!

Well, I purchased this to use with a electric fireplace. It works well... when it wants to. Multiple times, I had to turn the thermostat off, then on again for it to work. Kind of defeats the whole purpose, really. I'm returning it, because it doesn't work as per the specs.

I have a space heater without it's own thermostat. This works great. Honestly, it works well for space heaters that have a built in thermostat as well. Spaceheaters with a built in thermostat don't work well because the thermostat is too close to the heating source. It doesn't control the room temp very well. If you use this for that purpose, make sure your space heater does not use a soft switch - if you unplug the space heater and then plug it back it, it should come back on. Some of the newer models require you to press an on-button after you plug it back in. Since this thermostat works by removing power, when it returns power to the space heater, the space heater needs to be able to come back on with you having to push any buttons. That's an issue with the space heater though. The thermostat works great!

I think I returned the first one of these I received thinking it was faulty. When you plug in the switch unit (to which your heater/cooler is plugged), YOU MUST PRESS ON THE RED LED BUTTON AND HOLD IT UNTIL IT STARTS TO BLINK, indicating that it is searching for, and pairing with the wireless thermostat unit. Also, as others have noted, it is calibrated in Celsius, so setting Fareinheit set points is an annoying jump of 2 degrees every so often. Close enough for my porch, if I need precision, I can always mentally multiply C by 1.8 and add 32 to get F settings. Have not actually pressed it into service, but it seems to work well on my bench.

Instructions for pairing this model are wrong. You must push and hold the LED on the outlet switch to begin pairing. Haven't used it yet took looking at a previous review to get it to pair.

This is the most inaccurate thermostat I have ever seen. Not only is not acurate you can’t increase the temperature by single degrees. Once you get to 69 degrees fahrenheit you can only go up to 71 the. 73 and so on.. Do your self a favor and do not get it. The temp on mine says 74 and the actual temp in the room is 68. Just a good paper weight now. It only got one star because you can’t choose no stars.

The temperature swing is much to wide. I purchased three of these, non work well. Do not come on until temperature drops three degrees, and do not shut off until temperature goes over set temperature two degrees. Seller ignored emails about this. DO NOT BUY!
