Back in 2019 I had a terrible accident when a semi-truck hit me on the front passenger side of my tiny smart car, leaving me in a week long coma with a number of injuries including now compacted wedge-shaped vertebrae. Despite this, my youth (haven't hit 30 yet) seems to convince people that I don't struggle or am not in pain after long outings and days at work even when I say I am. This cane is perfect for me! It offers the support that I need when my back gets too sore to walk comfortably and when my knees or ankles feel too weak or wobbly to be steady. (Ramming your knees against the steering column in a crash does terrors to the cartilage there). I won't need it all the time, but it makes my 'invisible' injury that much more visible and I find people are far more ready to accept the limits that I place for my health and well being. It also enables me to be more active again and stairs, my old time nemeses, are so much more manageable with the extra support. I'm actually hopeful that I'll be able to get out and about again like I often was before the accident. As for the cane itself, I adore the style and classiness it has while also being the perfect fit for my style. I work with a library system during my normal hours, but off the clock I have my multicolored mohawk, spiky leather jacket, and big spiky stompin' boots. It blends in perfectly with my style and abundance of skeleton themed jewelry and shirts. I did have to shave 3 inches off of the bottom of the cane in order for it to be perfect for my height, but that's only to be expected from a pre-made cane. It's lighter than expected and not a burden to carry around even if I don't need it at that moment and feels far sturdier than mass produced aluminum canes. The filigree and the skull are beautifully rendered and the grip on the handle is very comfortable! I was worried at first if it would be a good grip for me as my hands are particularly small, but it fits like a glove. The only thing I might worry about is my grip on it during hot days and if my palms get sweaty, but that's always an easy fix with a strip of athletic tape across the top of the handle to give the needed friction and easy to remove when done. All in all, very satisfied with my investment for something that I'll probably be using for the rest of my life!

I've been dreading the day when I would have to finally admit I needed to use a cane for safety. I'm not particularly old but a failed surgery on my spine has caused me to become disabled. To me, admitting that I needed one was like giving up one of my remaining freedoms. So I started looking for something that at least didn't look like a dowager would own it. I saw some different pretty ones.., then this one popped up. I was impressed by it's looks but was a little leery due to price..., I didn't want to spend so much and then it actually be cheap or mass produced looking. It's absolutely STUNNING! I was worried it might be pressed or imitation wood. Not at all. The grain is rich and tight, the color is handsome and vibrant. The detailing on the head is high quality and the fit into my hand is perfection itself. It feels like it was created especially for me. The only complaint I have is that I'm going to have to have it cut down to suit my height. I'm not very tall but this seems to be made for a much, much taller consumer. I'm purchasing a new cane tip because the existing one will be cut off so I am a little nervous about ordering the right size but it is what it is. I'm thrilled with my purchase. This bitch gon be stylin'! I'm not going to be embarrassed to use a cane at all when it looks like this. HIGHLY recommend!!!

This is an example of “you get what you pay for”. This cane is a bit pricey compared to others - but well worth it. The wood is excellent. The carving and workmanship is excellent. The finish is excellent. The grip screws on easily with a very beefy screw. The grip feels like it was made just for my hand. I’m right handed, and the 36” length is right for my 5’-9” hight. With those caveats I highly recommend this cane!

Here I am almost 6 years after buying this cane and it’s still worth coming back for a review. It’s a little worse for the wear, and boy has it been warn. It’s been carried by me and by friends after various surgeries and continues to stand the test of time. And I get complements on it basically everywhere. After all this time, I have concluded that this cane is the best value for money of any product I’ve ever purchased on Amazon.

I have just recently acquired a need for the use of a cane. While the need for a cane is nothing to be ashamed of and I can use any cane to help me maintain my balance when walking, I prefer to use a cane that is a showstopper, and this is indeed that. From its rich and vibrant finish to its craftsmanship, both in woodwork and artistically, this cane makes a statement. YOU make a statement by using it. The cane in general is light weight but solid, if that makes sense. You can feel its quality when you use it. I have started a collection, 3 from another vendor and this one so far. When I am ready for another, it shall definitely be a GC-Artis. I highly recommend without reservation.
