Good for neck pain
I had the regular buckey pillow. I quit using it for about a year because it squishes my ears and irritated my earrings. Recently my neck had been sore again so I switched back. Neck pain was relieved but I still had sore ears. I finally sprung for this because of the soft side. It works! It still has the great support and right hight for me a side sleeper. But the softer side against my ear doesn’t seem to squish my cartilage the same way and feels better.

Supportive, Zipper Openings Offer More or Less Fill for Comfort, Uniquely Adjustable
Even though I don't always love this pillow in the moment because it can feel firm, I do always love it for what it does to align my neck and shoulders and help alleviate pain. We have four Bucky pillows in different styles and sizes but most highly recommend the Duo Bed Pillow. The zippered outer pillowcase is comfortable, washes well and is durable. The inside pillow is also zippered and will allow you to get in there and remove as much fill as you would like to customize the fit. The millet is softer, the buckwheat firmer. Because I prefer a flatter pillow, I usually remove filling that almost fills a gallon ziplock bag which I then store away. Once in a while I add a bit back. Unlike any other pillow I've tried (and I've tried many) this one can be adjusted by simply placing your head on the pillow and shifting the filling up-down-around the ear-under the neck-whatever. If I want to be on my back to read on the iPad or watch TV, I shift the weight toward the lower part of my neck for support. If I want to be on my side to read or watch TV or sleep in my usual position, I shift the weight around my jaw and ears and face until I am most comfortable. I never have that sunken feeling that can happen with down/alternative pillows. Admittedly, I sometimes like a softer feel in a pillow and grab a down alternative I keep on hand, but my neck never appreciates it bymorning. I don't think the Bucky Duo could be my one and only pillow forever and ever, but it is the safest bet for a good night's rest for my head and neck and shoulders and the one I usually use.

At first if was extremely disappointed as it was way to solid and firm compared ...
Just purchased my third Bucky pillow. Thought it was time to get a fresh one.At first if was extremely disappointed as it was way to solid and firm compared to what I had been used to. What I loved about my previous Bucky's was that I could form them to the shape of my head and down on my neck. That created the perfect level of comfort for a great sleep.I took it apart and removed 3 cups of filler. That was better, then took out another cup (4 cups in total). Now we are at a much more flexible and workable balance to allow adjustability.Another difference is that the previous two Bucky pillows came with std style pillow cases. Easy to remove and clean. This new one has a zippered cover. The zipper does not open all the way across the end seam. Much more difficult to remove to clean. I am using the pillow cases from previous buckys over it.As to the sound people have mentioned. I had gotten used to it a long time ago, so it is a non issue for me.I did not understand the comment someone made about the two different sides being either warmer or cooler due to two compartments. There is only one opening with one area for the filling. So all the content is mixed together. That is where I scooped out the 4 cups of hulls.

Love My Bucky!
Been sleeping on this pillow for one year now and I will say that my migraine headaches have gotten better. I double covered mine so that it wouldn't stretch out and flatten out as much which I think also helps with the noise a little bit. I like the fact that even double covered, I can still mold the pillow as needed. I wish I knew exactly how long the hulls are supposed to last before refilling? If anyone has any ideas on this I would love to know... After sleeping on this pillow for 1 year now I am absolutely unable to sleep on anything else. I left it in a hotel room once and the staff saved it for me on a one week turnaround and during that week I realized what a difference this pillow makes! No suffocating pillow around my face, no stuffy nose, no headache, no face wrinkles (added side benefit...lol!) the only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I would love for this pillow to be just a tad longer from side-to-side. This company does not make a larger pillow and although other companies do, there have been reports about bugs in the others pillows, something I have never heard about from this company. So, that said, I prefer my pillows to be bug-free so will put up with the smaller size and will sleep peacefully knowing that bugs have not infested my brain!

It will fix your neck problems!
I've owned this pillow for 15 months and love it. I bought the Bucky Large Duo and several other types of pillows when I was having horrible neck problems. I'd been in agony for about six months, waking up every day with a stiff, sore neck. It hurt to turn my head too far in any direction. At the request of my chiropractor, I hauled all of my pillows to his office so that he could test them. He had me lie on my sides and back with each pillow, and did some range of motion and strength testing with my arms. The Bucky Duo won that contest - it provided the best alignment in all positions - so he told me to use only this pillow for the next 6 weeks. I used to love soft, mushy pillows and it was a big adjustment for me. Even the softer side of the Bucky Duo seemed hard as a rock at first. Eventually, my neck problems faded and I got used to the pillow. Now, I wouldn't trade it for anything and even take it with me when I travel. The only negative is that correctly sized pillow cases aren't available for this pillow.
