Ok , so just don't look at the price. Think of it like this - go buy 3lbs of quality beef at the store , spices, gas to drive there , dry it down to 1 lb and you'll spend just as much . This is'nt gobble down stuff , its more of a special treat like a glass of fine scotch. Cudos to the lady with the review 'more mango than hot'. This is a tender quality jerky with a really good flavor and a nice balance of sweet n spicey, not burn your face off. It's really tender and the first thing I noticed was that it didn't get stuck in my teeth .... AT ALL. Even my own home made jerky that I trim up six ways to sunday gets stuck in my teeth. It's very tender , I think some folks mistake sticky sugary corn syrup gooped up roadkill for 'moist' . This is actually mostly just MEAT with a good moisture content and it was very yummy 👍

My favorite jerky. Can’t find anything like it as far as texture and flavor. So delicious, and helps me hit my protein goals without being too hard or dry to digest. Just the right amount of heat and sweet. Yum!

I don't know if i got a bad batch or what, but i find myself not wanting to eat more. And that's generally the opposite of how good jerky makes me feel. There's barely a hint of mango, and of the couple times a pulled slab out of the bag none were spicy like you'd expect habanero to be. Not even a little bit. I obviously did my research and expected this brand to be really good. So good that i bought a 16 oz bag. I mean... come on. I expected better, and won't be back. My buddy recommended Savage Jerky.

this jerky is delicious, IMO. It is expensive so I don't buy often. The pack is small, so it's hard not to eat the whole amount at once. Jerky is pretty tender compared to other jerky I have tried.

Great flavor, very tender

I opened and tried this jerky within 2 days of receiving it. It wasn't the same experience I had with the same bag I got from Costco. That bag was soft and moist and very flavorful. This bag that I just received from Amazon was very hard and dry... yes, I know it's jerky... and almost had no flavor. What I liked about the Country Archer brand jerky is that it's not so difficult to chew and gristley, but that wasn't the case this time. It's like this thing had been sitting in a closet for a year and a half. I'll buy it from Costco again but not here.
