I LOVE THIS BOOK!
Excellent Read! For anyone new to Project Finance and who needs an understanding of the basics in order to comprehend more complex structures, this book is a must-read! It assumes no prior knowledge of finance and defines terms in its simplest form. It also adds a legal touch to its description of concepts. I had to buy the book as I cross-registered for a course on Infrastructure Finance at the Harvard Kennedy School. As an LL.M. candidate at the Harvard Law School, the book helped my understanding of the advanced concepts in the course. I worked in a top law firm's Power and Infrastructure Practice for a year, but my understanding of project finance concepts has been greatly enhanced.

I purchased this book as a course text. It is a well‑known classic and provides clear explanations of key principles, making it accessible for beginners in project finance. The structure is logical and well‑organized. However, as someone without prior experience, it took me more time to work through because many of the financial terms were new to me. Even so, I can see why it is widely used in universities and professional courses.

I have a lot of this kind of texts in Japanese. In this field, almost of all of the technical terms come from English and do not translated in Japanese. Therefore, reading this kind of text in English will support to understand the terms and principle of the project finance.
