I need to fight plaque and gum issues, being that I have deep 'pockets' between my teeth. I have dental cleanings every 3 months for this reason and still it's not enough to fight off plaque, which causes bone loss issues for me. After researching online, I found Plax. You only need a bit (I use it twice a day and seems to last me 1.5-2 months, I just ordered my 2nd bottle and subscribed for bi-monthly deliveries), and it foams through your mouth - then you spit (no rinse after!) and start brushing. For brushing too I learned that it might be beneficial (I am no dentist by any means) to not rinse after brushing, only spit out the excess as it should help the active ingredients doing their job longer/better.

I have used Plax for many years. My dentists have told me to keep doing whatever I am doing as my teeth and gums are healthy. I take this as a vote for the effectiveness of Plax. I have researched professional and general reviews of Plax. It gets an undeserved bad rap. The reviews don't indicate that it is dangerous or harmful. They just suggest that it doesn't work as promised. I beg to differ!
