Great Keyboard Stand For The Price
I had one of these that got bent with some heavier keyboards I use to use, so I bought a new one. It works perfect with my Roland FP4 which weight's 32lbs. It's stable and it dosen't rock front to back or side to side. It's light weight making it easy to carry. The legs are not long, so people don't trip over it when I'm doing a solo gig or band members when I do a band gig. When I got the stand, there was some assembly required. The directions were not too clear. I assembled it worng and had to take it apart and re assemble. There are 2 main bolts that hold this stand together, it only came with 1. I went to a local hardware store and got the bolt and washers I needed. That would be the only issue. All in all, it's a great stand for a light to medium light weight keyboard. Anything much over 40 lbs, you need something stronger. I had used a Roland xv88 for a while. The frame by a bold bent. So any of the new lighter keyboards like the 88 key keyboards like Korg Krome, Yamaha MOX8, Roland RD 300 family and Roland FP family, this stand is a good choice. Of course for 76 and 61 key keyboards, it's great. I'm a full time musician and work about 32 gig's a month and do all types of gig's. The stand is holding up in every enviorment I use it in. Great Keyboard Stand For The Price!!!

Sturdy, stable well-made stand.
I have read other reviews and agree that the assembly instructions are limited. The hole spacing is different between each of the bottom stand supports and the top piano rests. If the wide spaced bottom stand support is on the left when facing the stand, then the wide spaced piano support will be on the top right. Note: the recessed (indented) holes should be placed on the screw head side.

Same price as most stands but better quality
I had looked at numerous stands for my Yamaha keyboard and didn't want to spend a ton of money for a professional grade stand (at professional prices). With that in mind, the Yamaha PKBX2 Double X Portable Keyboard Stand is a good choice at $29.99. I had seen other stands that were not as sturdy (single X stands)and cost about the same price. Tips for assembly: - Don't read the instructions, just look at the enlarged image of the keyboard stand on Amazon and assemble the stand the way it's shown. - The bolts for attaching the arms and legs come screwed in to the stand. Use the (included )Allen Wrench to remove them and then re-install them when you are putting it together. PROS: - Low price. - Solid, sturdy stand. - Works for just about any keyboard. - The stand's height is fully adjustable, and can be easily changed in several seconds - without having to unscrew anything. CONS: - There is no way to attach a keyboard to this stand. No screws, bolts or straps are included, even though most (including my Yamaha) keyboards have pre-drilled holes for screwing the board to a stand. The keyboard simply sits on top of the stand. I was VERY disappointed about this. - The included Allen wrench did not work for one of the bolts. The bolt came screwed in to the stand way too tightly to be removed using the included tool. The Allen Wrench only stripped the bolt, it did not loosen it. Luckily my husband had a better Allen Wrench of nearly identical size, and that one worked. Without it, we would not have been able to loosen the bolt.

Substantial, Sturdy and Solid- Poor instructions
Got here in a couple of days as usual with most things at Amazon. I was impressed that the box was heavier than I would have expected. If there is a 50/50 chance of getting it right, there is a 100% chance I will get it wrong. If they had just showed the diagram alone I would have had it together in 5 minutes. But no, they had to print instructions in Chinese translated English. First problem I had was finding the screws as many others have reported and as I had anticipated from other reviews. Other people said they were in the legs. so I picked up each leg and shook so I could hear which one they were in, to no avail. I figured logic would have it they would put them in the rubber capped arms. Nope. 20 frustrating minutes later my wife heard me cussing and said "What are these things screwed in the end of the legs?" I said, "Some kind of adjustment things, thanks, I have it under control." As she walked away she said, "I think those are the missing screws." Next in the instructions it said "short end of arms towards outside of stand."-- Whatever that meant. Just enough to mess with my head. Half hour later I had it together. I put the keyboard on it and it was like reaching up for Ape hangers on the old Harley you never owned. I thought why is the lowest setting so high, for a giraffe? I had the half moon perforated Height adjuster pointed down to the left rather than up to the right as pictured. Easy fix. Anyway a couple of pointers for others who buy this. 1) there are 2 pair of round pipes with rubber ends. The shorter pair are the upper arms. The longer pair are the bottom feet. 2) The upper shorter arms differ with narrow and wider bolt holes, One goes on inside pair of legs and one on the outer. 3) Repeat of above for the feet on bottom. 4) The extra round chrome washer that wont fit over the square part of the carriage bolt goes in between the 2 legs to keep them separated slightly. Instructions leave a lot to be desired. but the product is very solid to hold your keyboard, inexpensive and I am happy in the end.
