They’ve got different flavors too, which makes me feel fancy without doing any actual work. I thought it would be fun to buy this assortment and post a taste test (and a smell test). I opened and shook all the bottles. I screwed off the cap and smelled, then I put few drops on a teaspoon and tasted while outside. hickory: Has a bitter taste in comparison to the rest, 2nd smokiest, my least favorite because of the bitterness. pecan: The weakest flavor, can't discern much difference between the woods, but it doesn't have the bitterness of the hickory. apple: Definitely has a fruity note, otherwise the smoke component seems the same. mesquite: The most smokey. My overall favorite. No bitterness. I was expecting to be able to tell the individual woods apart but could not, other than the bitter note on the hickory. Maybe I'm just not discerning enough.

Great combo! Durable! This goes well on just about anything and everything you slow cook. It does bring a smoky flavor but be judicious. It can overpower a dish too. Great packaging.

I'm a vegetarian, and liquid smoke is a great flavor to add to things for vegetarian and vegan cooking. It adds that smoky flavor that meat is often imbued with. Good for chili, soups, and other hearty dishes for cold weather, as well as making fake bacon 🥓 marinade. The flavors are strong. I like some more than others. You may have to get used to it. I like a good amount sometimes, other times it's too much. Experiment!

The flavors are good and what I wanted. Unfortunately, the applewood bottle leaked. I had read that in some reviews, but decided to change it. Then it happened to me too. I don't know why it was only that one. Something must have happened during manufacturing for that flavor.
