Aqva Hair and Debris Strainer, 1.5-Inch

At this time the drain arrived intact, however the bathroom in under construction and the product has not been installed. Will be back later to pass on the plumber's comments. Hopefully the 4 star rating will remain same.

Works for my need, solid, appear to be well made & a good substitution for the plastic strainer that came with an expensive shower drain —BUT, you receive 1, not 2 items like shown in photo. Perhaps I didn’t read closely enough, but deduction on rating is due to the misleading photos.

I purchased this for my shower drain based on the reviews, including taking into account the size descriptions. For my particular shower, though it did not fit exactly, I realized a small o-ring would take up the additional space. With the addition of the o-ring, this strainer has been in use for 6 months, it is catching hair, there is no gap with the o-ring, and there has been no discoloration or rust of the material. It needs emptied about every 4 weeks. However that is easier than pulling the hair out of the trap with a grabber tool every 6 months.

The cup is a bit small for the drain pipe as many have already mentioned here. There is a continuous 1/8 gap that water and hair can pass through around the perimeter. BUT this does catch a lot of hair, more than I would have guessed. I am pleased with it and will be keeping mine

Still left room around the drain for hair to get down the drain. I like that it has no chance of getting stuck or falling down the drain. Time will tell but I would guess it will catch 90% of my wife's hair and it's easy to clean.Deducted one star since quality is lacking (my was bent) and because it could be bigger.

These work wonders to catch all that unwanted hair that drains into the toilet. However it will be bad to overflow with water because it can clog easily over time so regular cleanups are necessary

Alright product. It could be better if it was a true 2" so it'd fit a bit tight on the pipe but for what it is I'd buy it again. I work on custom showers and people love the idea they can clean it once in a while.

High quality. Does what it's supposed to do. Grab bar on top makes it easy to lift out of drain. Only issue is that the photo lead me to believe that I was getting two.
