This portable microchip scanner is absolutely incredible, and I think every pet owner or animal lover should have one. It’s super easy to use and really comes in handy, especially if you happen to find a lost pet wandering around. I keep mine in my car, and it’s been a lifesaver on more than one occasion. What I love most is that it quickly scans for microchips without any hassle, and it saves me from having to make an extra trip to the vet or shelter. It’s such a simple yet effective tool that can help reunite lost pets with their owners, and I feel so much more prepared when I come across an animal in need. The scanner is compact, lightweight, and works reliably every time. If you care about animals or are involved in rescue work, this is a tool I highly recommend having on hand. It’s small but makes a huge impact!

I work apt maintenance. We find dogs wandering all the time and I’ve always wished I had a chip scanner to avoid having to call animal control. So I got this. Works flawless. Search the number at any free online database.

I do dog rescue, so it's important to have a reader that is functional and reliable. This reader is the worst and if I could give it ZERO that would still be too many stars. If agencies or people use this chip reader pets are sadly going to remain lost. If the reader cannot identify that a pet is chipped then finding their home is greatly reduced. Even worse an animal may be chipped and if the reader doesn't read a chip the pet could end up being euthanized rather than being returned home. I have 5 dogs and all are chipped with three different brands of chips (home again, 911 and Fi nano). I tested this reader immediately upon arrival and after being fully charged. The reader was able to produce the chip id code in 3 of my dogs ONCE, then when I tried again it could never find the chip on 2 of the 3 dogs it had previously identified. I know it can read the three different brands of chips, because they all appeared at least once out of more than 20 tries, but non of them were ever detected more than twice with more than 20+ attempts. I then tested the reader on the new chips i have that have not yet been injected on pets and the reader identified 2 chip out of the 23 new chips I tried to scan. I tried to scan my dogs more than 20 times and the success rate of this chip reader in locating a chip in both live dogs and un injected new chips averages about 2 times in 20 tries. This unit is terrible! Buyer beware, it's a cheap mass produced China product, complete junk. The instructions are also in poorly written English and Chinese.

Bought as a back up to my Buddy ID scanner when I couldn't find it. This one was much less expensive and seems to work perfectly every time.

Works well except it doesn’t turn off if I hold down the button. Scans well though (tested on my on cat)

Quick and easy to use! Super accurate and helped me locate my fur babies microchips before I moved to get them registered again. It’s not too loud and super readable. Quality wise it seems sturdy but also light weight.

Very easy to use and helped us reunite a dog in our neighborhood a week after I bought it. Highly recommend it.

Le lecteur fonctionne parfaitement bien. Il est petit et c'est pas encombrant. Cependant un écran un peu plus grand serait plus pratique pour la lecture de la puce.

Sin saber en qué lugar tiene el microchip, solo haciendo una batida rápida sobre el perro por la zona donde suelen colocarse los suele detectar sin mucho problema. Tengo varios perros y comprobados todos chip con cartilla por delante sin fallo alguno. Quería un lector económico ya que alguna vez me he encontrado algun perro solo por donde vivo o suelo moverme y por temas profesionales me venía bien, pero tampoco quería invertir mucho en algo que usaré de forma muy puntual. Para el precio que tiene me parece que está genial. Se carga con ranura tipo C y tal como recogí el paquete lo fui cargando en el coche y se cargó muy rápido. Ocupa poco, es fácil de transportar en un bolsillo y además se apaga solo relativamente pronto por lo que tampoco se gasta muchísima batería y no hay que estar a cada rato cargándolo. Me parece que está bastante bien.

Bei unseren zwei Katzen findet das Gerät den Chip sofort und zeigt die korrekte Nummer an. Mich würde noch interessieren, ob man den Pfeifton ausschalten kann. Er ist zwar nicht so laut wie befürchtet und unsere beiden hat er nicht erschreckt, aber ich weiß nicht, wie es bei fremden Katzen wäre. Der in der Praxis pfeift nicht, also müsste es irgendwie gehen. Ich werde berichten. Wir haben es gekauft, weil uns in einigen Jahren schon mehrere Katzen zugelaufen sind, die wir den Besitzern zuführen konnten. Wir haben uns meist dafür so ein gerät aus unserer Tierarztpraxis geliehen, aber seit wir erfuhren, dass es um die 20 € kostet und nicht 200, habe ich sofort das gleiche bestellt, was die Praxis hat. Seit die Katzen keine Halsbänder mehr tragen, damit sie nirgends stecken bleiben, ist aber oft nicht klar, ob sie Freigänger sind, oder von zu Hause ausgebüchst sind und nicht mehr nach Hause finden. Liebe Dosenöffner: bitte chippt Euer Tier immer, auch wenn es nur bei Euch in der Wohnung leben soll. Es kommt öfter vor, dass Drinnen-Katzen aus Neugierde durch ein Fenster oder eine Tür unbemerkt fliehen und dann von selbst nicht mehr nach Hause finden. Vergesst den Chip nicht zu registrieren. Wir hatten schon beides: Tiere ohne Chip und auch welche, die einen Chip hatten, der aber nicht registriert war. Da hat es dann teils Wochen gedauert, bis die Besitzer aufgefunden werden konnten und das muss einfach nicht sein. Bei anderen hat man die Besitzer nie finden können, aber man kann bei einer reinrassigen Katze, die aussieht, als hätte sie kurz zuvor bei einem Schönheitswettbewerb mitgemacht sicher davon ausgehen, dass es keine Straßenkatze ist. Nicht gechippt, nicht registriert, dafür aber ausgehungert, weil sie nie gelernt hat zu jagen. Für sie hat dann das Tierheim in der Nähe neue Dosenöffner gesucht. Bitte chippt und registriert Eure Katzen!
