This product almost warranted 5 stars but for one shortcoming. As already highlighted by Lucifersam "one size does not fit all".To start I have to say its really well made. It works very effectively and you can feel the support it gives your back as soon as its in place. However its very tight on me sadly. I have a 38 inch waist and a reasonably flat tum but I have to be very careful how I put it on. Its on the last notch so as to speak. Such a pity they dont make a couple of different sizes.I use a Neo-G as a soft alternative but it loses its shape too easily which is one thing the Vulkan does not do. Its rock solid. So in summary its almost a perfect product but...

I suffer with sacroiliac joint dysfunction and during my exercise class last week my back 'went' again. I had to have a week off to recover - my back, leg, hip and poor butt really suffered this time and I didn't think I'd be able to get back to class. I bought this to try on my return but I was dubious. What can I say other than FABULOUS!! It gave me so much support and I was able to push myself further than I'd have dared without it. I usually struggle with core work as I hold a lot of tension in my back, this support made it possible for me to actually enjoy it instead of struggle through pain. I'm hoping with the help of this support, I'll be able to build up the muscle in my back so my back problem will improve. Yippppppeeeeee!!

I wish i could give this additional fractional stars--The only reason why i didn't give it perfect marks is because on my big ol' swollen knee, the supportive strap that goes just behind the joint scratched annoyingly at my skin with the hard velcro. Don't have a big knee? No problem. This is a great compression and support device that keeps everything right where it needs to be so you can move around with more confidence and less pain.

Seems to work well with good Velcro grip but has a very synthetic and slightly brittle feel. Care has to be taken not to let any of the Velcro touch skin as it quickly becomes uncomfortable.

Having poorly knees that have prevented me walking any great distance for several months I bought 2 of these supports. I have found them to be an enormous help and they have enabled me to walk several miles without having to either pull them up or down as I have done when wearing elasticated ones. You do have to make sure that the straps have been pulled tight enough to give appropriate support but if adjusted properly they do stay in place providing stability to the knee and I have found them to be just the thing to help me.

Pretty comfortable back brace which helped with support following acute sciatica coupled with lower back pain. Bit sweaty in warmer weather, and not a long-term solution to back pain, but well worth it for the confidence bolster it gave me after months of being afraid to lift anything of even modest weight.

Comfortable as I got used to wearing it for about a week to help with a strained thumb, good support and did the trick, will wear again if necessary
