SEG Direct Microfiber Leather Steering Wheel Cover 39.5-41 cm Black

I had to put this cover in my oven for a few seconds and it was still difficult to fit onto my 1964,16 inch Morris Minor steering wheel. But when I fitted it it looks and feels great. This cover is perfect and a perfect fit with no movement whatsoever. I have got a 1968 Morris Minor van also so I will get another one of these steering wheel covers for that van.

Fits perfectly on the steering wheel of Landrover Discovery TD5. You need very strong hands to fit it tho!

It seems the 'general' size for steering wheel covers in the UK is around 37 - 39cm. Which is too big for my Gen 3 Suzuki Jimny. This good quality SEG cover is smaller and affords a snug secure fit.

Nice to hold, easy to fit and makes the wheel soft and chunky.

Pros: Very subtle. Matches my Skoda Yeti dash perfectly. Cons: Folded for postage, so there are raised sections where it was folded (see first photo). Hopefully this will smooth out over time. The stitched edge is chunky so it sticks out from the wheel. My wife does not like it and finds it uncomfortable to use - because it feels too big and lumpy in her small hands. Conclusion: If your steering wheel is old or slippery, and not very thick , this will probably be an improvement - especially on hot or cold days.... but I just wish the hem was not so thick.

Having read other reviews I was wary of the quality of the item and how it would fit but after a week am really pleased with it. As long as it’s warmed up (tumble dryer for me) it is more than possible to fit it single handed. Comments on its packing are true in that it’s compressed into a misshapen bundle but allowing to sit in the sun (then warm as said) does the trick. It fits well on the wheel but does flex a little to the open side but it firm around the circumference of the wheel. It adds noticeable width to the steering wheel which at first seems odd but is very comfortable on the hand and I like the feel of it. Possibly the subject of another review in 3-6 months. At the time of writing, very pleased.
