One key for all knobs and dead bolts plus easy to install.
I bought this door knob, and a couple others and a dead bolt, so that I could key them all to the same key. Changing them all to the same key was very easy. I watched a video on youtube just to be sure. It was really easy. This new system is really nice. I like having one key that opens all my doors. To make installation easier, you put the screws in part way and then put the knob on and turn it a little so that it locks in. Then you finish tightening the screw. Makes it a lot easier to install. No trying to find the hole for the screw when you can't see it. If you want several door knobs and dead bolts to be keyed to one key, this is the kind to get. They also install easily.

Perfect fit and easy to install!!

I like it! Good for the price.
Got this to replace an older door knob lock that was beginning to jam. I feel more secure with this knob as it has extra security features that the older Kwikset knob did not have, including longer strike plate screws and anti-tamper guards so people can not unlock the lock using a thin blade between the door and the housing (cant believe my old one didn't have this!) The twisting action and materials feel premium albeit the knob did come with a small scratch. The only thing I wish was improved is the feeling of twisting the lock from the inside. It feels very numb and lacks the quality "click" feeling when twisting the switch between locked and unlocked that other knobs have, this is visually shown as well because the locking switch can wiggle/has play in either the unlocked or locked position causing the switch to sometimes rest slightly diagonally instead of horizontally or vertically. It makes you think, "Did I fully engage the lock? Better double check." It's such a numb/loose feeling that it almost makes you think that someone jiggling the knob from the outside violently could cause the switch to unlock itself. Although this is unlikely. That may be a silly nitpick, however improving the feeling of the locking action would instill a better sense of security for me.

quick easy install, quick easy smartkey reset, decent product
Installed this in a house I'm selling. It's not bad at all. Pros: - speed. as long as you're not installing with a deadbolt, you may be able to do a speed run of uninstalling your old knob and installing one of these knobs in 5 minutes or less. - value (got mine here for around $19.99) - availability (can be found here, Home Depot, Lowes, wherever) - SmartKey re-key thing is wonderful. Lose your key? Stolen? Who cares. Re-key the tumblers to a different key. Stick your old key in, rotate, stick the smartkey tool in (or anything of similar size), take out, take out old key, put in new key, rotate, done. New key now works, old (original) key doesn't. Can be done in 10 seconds or less. Vacationing? re-key 1 lock to an alternate key and give to neighbor. when you come back, re-key back to your key. you can let them keep the one you gave them or not, doesn't matter, it doesn't work any more... - lock cylinder rotation tool free (at this time) + free shipping - have to call to order - SmartKey tool included Neutral: - sturdy enough - aesthetics. they're not particularly fancy. but it's a doorknob so who cares. most are utilitarian. - smaller size cover may not cover larger openings - will the re-key tumbler reset function cause the lock to fail over time? I might not know this for years to come. Other reviewer(s) had immediate fails. I haven't had this issue...yet... - the SmartKey resetable tumbler concept could possibly allow locks to be easily defeated by criminals. There are YouTube videos cracking this TYPE of lock (due to the SmartKey function itself) in seconds by use of a blank + screwdriver. Note any dummy can kick down most dead-bolted doors since door frames are little more than plywood and a child of sufficient size could simply break a window. The dude in No Country For Old Men used a simple canister of some kind of pressurized gas and to knock out all the locks in that movie...On and on. I called and asked Kwikset if the YouTube videos are of CURRENT models and they say NO!!! Do you believe them? Are they still easily defeated?? They say no. It's possible you only want to install these INSIDE your home as I have to lock up certain rooms from kids...Obviously it isn't in the best interest of the manufacturer to highlight flaws in it's own products. Kwikset do have SmartKey products (deadbolts) that supposedly offer the ANSI/ BHMA level 1 (highest) rating but this isn't one of them. Cons: - there is no simple, easy, immediate method of reversing the lock. whether your knob is on the left or right is a crap-shoot. Kwikset simply could have 2 options for purchase here (preset left of right - simple as that). I get why they don't. some people would be at a store, see 2 options and have no idea or not remember which side of the door the knob is on (left vs right), then leave the store without purchasing or purchase something else (and no business wants a customer to do that). Another solution could have been a more simple hardware solution of being able to rotate the lock somehow. but there isn't with this knob. this means you'll either have to install upside down (not a big deal to some, but it would bother many anal retentive people such as myself) or you'll have to reverse it by using their Kwikset 81467 Cylinder Remover Tool (or a long screwdriver of approx similar size). there are YouTube videos that show you how to do this. This is especially lame for deadbolts...It's flat out annoying and time consuming. You're basically taking most of the thing about just to put it back together again. - screws are difficult to unscrew just to get the damn thing apart to install it. they're difficult to get back in too. - could use smaller covers than your existing cover meaning you'll have to get some paint out. At the end of the day, the price combined with SmartKey re-key function (as long as it doesn't in reality decrease security of the product) would make this generally superior to other brands. Note: I am not immediately clear on the major difference between the Juno and the Tylo sub-brands except for the security rating (this one is a 2/better, that one is 3/worse). Okay this is a tad more expensive and supposedly more secure, but why? There's also an ever-so-slight difference in appearance which I couldn't detect at first glance...

Good solid entry knob with small caveats.
First of all, these knobs are very substantial. Very good feel, and very secure. I have replaced all of the entry knobs and deadbolts around my house with these instead of rekeying my old ones to get the house ready for sale. I've used 2 of these, 4 more with deadbolts, and a Kwikset entry handle/dead bolt combo. All have the smart key option which lets me rekey all knobs and locks to one key. The only issues I had were one of the knobs came in with a defective/sticky latch. Amazon promptly replaced, so all good there. There are 2 things I don't like about these knobs: 1 is the way the knobs connect from one side to the other. Kwikset employs a method where you put one side in the door, both passthrough screws installed, then you put the other knob in and have to kind of hook an underplate to the screws. Then you tighten both screws down, and snap on the cover. Hard to explain, but very awkward and convoluted. It's like they tried to make it easy, and succeeded in making it more difficult. The 2nd thing I don't like is that they don't sell left/right hinge options, which forces you to rework the lock cylinder if you want it oriented correctly(keyhole facing up instead of down). This also requires a special tool to flip the cylinder, as well as a YouTube search on how to flip the cylinder. Those instructions were not provided by Kwikset, nor were they adequately provided on the support area of their website. Overall though, for the price, looks, and functionality of these doorknobs, I am more than satisfied.
