Is this socket LED compatible?

It suit for Incandescent bulbs but some customer said it also suit for led dimmable bulbs.

Will this socket accommodate a 150 watt bulb without a problem for 16 hours at a time? Or will it blow out?

I suggest that rather than testing whether this socket can accommodate a150 watt bulb for 16 hours at a time, you switch to a 150 watt equivalent LED bulb. Since an LED bulb uses only about 10-12% of an incandescent bulb's wattage to produce the same lumens, you'll get the same light at a much lower cost for electricity, and will reduce the risk that this dimmer socket won't be able to handle the wattage.

Where does the lamp shade attach?

It depends on your lamp. This is just the bulb socket and will replace your existing socket without affecting the shade mount.

Can the nob be removed and adjusted? I thought it would screw off, but it doesn't, I hope I didn't damage it.

The brass part of the knob does come off. The plastic key which the knob sites on does not come off.
