I'm left handed. I have currently been acquiring and buying tools and utensils specifically for us left handers. This has made my world so much easier.I absolutely love this pen. I have always loved fountain pens but when I was younger decades ago I couldn't find a fountain pen that worked well for me - if at all - so for the longest time I never had one.I now have 4 Lamy Safari's with left handed nibs.This left handed nib *starts* every single time I touch pen to paper, no having to old his a special way, nothing. The ink just starts to flow. My favorite feature of this pen is the grip section. You do have to hold the pen a particular way, but this means that the left handedness of the nib will have the ink flow immediately. No "blank starts" like other fountain pens.One of the best part of the grip section is the flared bottom. Left handers know the problems with pens being pushed UP and INTO the hand. With the flared bottom of the grip I can relax my hand because I know that as I write and I'm pushing the pen, it won't slid up into my fingers and I don't have to constantly readjust my grip.I'll be buying another one of these for my maid of honor who is a lefty as well.

I’m a LEFTY!!! That’s right. A Lefty! Someone that had to learn to write a different way than a majority of my class because my hand would run over ink. And smudge. And keep my sheets of paper looking good.My notes were smeared. My left hand had all different colors on it. And between all the colors of the pencil, blue ink, and black ink, I’m sure my hand looked bruised from the mix.BUT THIS CHANGED IT ALL! Literally! This pen has changed how I feel about writing and has me looking forward to writing a hand-written “Thank You” note. I get excited to write something in my business card for a client because I get to use my Left Handed Safari.It’s a pretty wonderful thing when a NIB, a simple NIB, can change your heart toward writing. And that’s exactly what this beautiful, thoughtfully designed NIB did!Thank you LAMY for thinking of the lefties.

The Safari makes you hold the pen one specific way. I'm still getting used to its grip. I'm a lefty and it feels very foreign to me. On another note, I had to buy this pen from Amazon UK because the Safari isn't sold with a left-handed nib in Amazon USA. That nib would have been a substantial extra cost.

Lefties, this is the bomb! I had no idea. I filled it with ink, it wrote perfectly immediately. Its soooo smooth compared to right nibs. Also, I have a small collection of inexpensive fountain pens, and this is my most expensive, and it's noticeably better. Fear not writers...get one.

It is a great pen, writes nice and smooth. Nice for a left handed nib.

I really enjoy writing with fountain pens. Being left-handed however ky writing seemed always to be a blue-black blob. Lo and behold, turns out I was always using pend with right-handed nibs. Not thinking there wss a difference I ordered the left-handed Lamy. Well, what a difference!!!The pen shipped from Germany and arrived in a presentation case. My writing with a fountain pen is now almost legible.Thank you for recognizing the 10%, Lamy.

This a great product and not only for left handed person. I am not sure why the title says left-handed but this is equal good for right handed one as well

Liked the Pen, like the size of it and like the feel of it. Never actually owned a left handed anything, i have to say that this is the first thing i have bought specifically for left handed people. For me it was worth the price. I have some fountain pens that i can work with and they write nice as long as you hold them the right way. This pen just seems to fit into your hand the right way. The nib is nice to write with and when you finally find the glide point on the nib, writing just flows and the ink as well. Right handed pen writers talk about how the pen glides and the ink just flows and then the ideas flow. I found that with this pen, once i found the angle and the pressure that the nib liked, then the ink started to flow, the ideas started to flow. I have to say best experience i have had with a pen in a long time. For me, worth the money and the wait, however your mileage may vary.

万年筆初心者です。前はパイロットのコクーンを使ってました。コクーンとの比較になると思います。ペン先は固く書き味は鉛筆で書いているみたいです。どこら辺が左利き用になっているのかわかりませんが普通に書けます。持ち手は人差し指と中指が添えるように掘りがありますので特殊な持ち方をする人はこれが邪魔になると思います。書き味さえ許容できれば問題ないかと思います。

Lamy è una certezza. Ergonomica e con una bellissima traccia, soprattutto per chi è mancino e non ha mai avuto il piacere di scrivere con una stilografica.
