A lot of products throw around the terms "pro" and "commercial grade", but these LED lights really seem built to last. Right out of the box, you can feel their weight, all covered by a rubberized surface that will withstand the elements. The packaging is no fuss - a 48-foot strand coil, a box of 15 individually-wrapped and -boxed LED bulbs, and a simple instruction sheet. To be honest, they are pretty much plug in and go, but there are some things worth considering: 1) The strand is 48-feet long with 15 lights. This means there is a 3-foot spacing between each bulb, as well as 3 feet at the start and end of the strand. It's worthwhile considering, since if you connect multiple strands (which you can do since the end has a female receptacle), you will have a 6-foot gap. If you're a detail-oriented planner, you'd want to take that into consideration. 2) The strand has a 2-prong plug (i.e., no ground wire). This means that it is adaptable to most extension cords, but you will want to take into account other items you may want to connect, like dimmers and remotes. 3) The LEDs are made of "durable glass", and I'd believe it. The glass even feels a bit soft to withstand bumps and knocks, but is crystal clear. Since these are vintage-style LEDs, the yellow LED "filaments" are quite visible during the daytime, but still look attractive. 4) It is recommended that the strand be hung by 16-gauge wire or cable, or mounted with hooks. Given the weight, don't skimp on cheap mounting options, as you will want to do this the right way. I mounted the cord above my pergola with wrap-around cable clips and stainless screws (really taking the time to protect the cord), allowing the bulbs to hang between the slats. 5) Most importantly, it should be noted that these lights are very bright. Mind you, as I just mentioned, I mounted mine on a pergola, which picks up the lighting much more than, say, an open-air application. However, as standard, they cast a lot of light. Since they are dimmable, I highly recommend an outdoor dimmer. I purchased a SUNYE Max Power 200W Waterproof Outdoor String Lights Wireless Remote Control, 150Feet Range, Memory, Stepless Dimming, IP68 WATERPROOF.UL 3 Pin Plug Remote Control Dimmer (ONLY FOR LED DIMMABLE BULB) outdoor dimmer, and that was the best decision. I've included two photos at the maximum (100%) and minimum (<25%) settings. The minimum setting is what I use nearly all the time as it's a nice glow (but still bright). If I have dinner parties, I use brighter settings, but even 50% is far too bright for most applications. Without a dimmer, I don't know if I could use these lights. 6) I also purchased a Z-Wave outdoor module GE Z-Wave Wireless Smart Lighting Control Outdoor Module, On/Off, Plug-In, Black, Hub Required, 12720, Works with Alexa , a weatherproof receptacle cover Taymac MX3300 One Gang Horizontal In Use Metal Weatherproof Receptacle Cover and extension cord connector covers Cordsafe Extension Cord Connector with Water-Resistant Seal (Orange) for Cord Management to properly weatherproof the set-up. We've had a couple of torrential downpours and windstorms, and the lights have withstood them all without fail. I expect to have years of use from these lights, so would definitely recommend them and buy again.

These should last for years. Electrical cord is much thicker than my original 5 year old set that was beginning to show their age. Packaged will, took a few extra days to arrive but worth the wait. Made sure the bulbs were nice and tight before they were hung. All worked, and my deck once again looks great. Was hard to find a 2w set, most now are 1 and just did not provide the lighting I was used to. My only suggestion would have been nice to have a spare bulb, and an end plug for the end of the string would have been nice. I've used a safety outlet plug but not sure how waterproof it will be.

These are solid, well made lights. Not cheap xmas light strands. The bulbs are very bright which is what you want when they're hooked to a dimmer - excellent range. Also, these are standard E26 screw in bulb connectors so you can swap out the bulbs if you need to. The distance between lights is wide but I didn't find that to be a problem with how bright they are. We have them weaved into a white patio cover and they give excellent outside light, in all mood/dim ranges. Very pleased

Bought the much longer set a year ago and wanted a matched set for the other side of our yard. This strand is perfect. Pair it with a Kasa outdoor dimmer plug and you can easily control the light brightness. The cord is well suited to survive the elements and the bulbs are durable. Really great lights for the deck or patio.

Lifespan is good I’ve had it for 3 years now. The wire does get a little bendy in sun but still good after 3 years. Mine came with broken bulbs they sent me another set of bulbs very fast. Good quality overall. Happy with the purchase

I rarely write product reviews, and when I do, it's usually because I am really disappointed with something I bought. and probably pissed off about it... This time, however, my review is very positive! I've had these lights for maybe a month or so... And I am super-happy with them! That is a rare thing I am able to say. They are the bomb! Really high-quality and heavy-duty like you almost never see these days. Especially considering the price of these lights on Amazon. This is Is a high-quality, well-made product! Very unusual but I'm glad I bought these lights. Somebody else wrote a review and seemed disappointed that the bulb spacing was about three feet between lights... This is not an issue at all. These bulbs have adjustable brightness (with the right dimmer switch or smart plug), and (at 100% brightness level) they are VERY bright!! Heavy-duty construction and really well-made. I am actually impressed!

Great lights, but I would 100% buy a dimmable switch if you want to use them for RV awnings / or camping. They are too bright for campground quiet time hours.

Was looking for some outdoor lights and originally was looking at the black wires. These are white and are perfect! Quite bright but that’s what I wanted. Sturdy construction

These are so great! Some people complain there's no dimmer function, but they don't say there is! They say they are dimmable, so I bought a wifi dimmer that I programmed to turn on and off at certain times at 10% brightness, but I can use the dimmer's app or, since I synced it with my Google Home, I can just tell google to turn them on or off, or whatever % brightness! On 10% they are such a pleasant warm glow over our large backyard. I got 2 strings and put one down the fence and the other on 3 sides of our large gazebo. On bright it is very bright if you need to see what went bump in the night ;) Loving them after several months of perfect functioning!

When I first opened the package, it didn't work. Since it was past the Amazon return window, I contacted the seller directly for assistance. They responded immediately and gave me some troubleshooting tips. Lo and behold, it worked immediately! These lights are bright and the cord appears heavy duty, hopefully able to withstand some of our fluctuations in weather. Sam, their rep, gave detailed instructions and offered more assistance should these tips not work. I was very impressed with their customer service and for that alone, I highly recommend and will purchase from them again.

Bought these specifically because the product said dimmable. There is no dimmer switch/dial anywhere and the bulbs are SO bright they're practically un-useable. We've tried only having a few bulbs in but it stills feels like an interrogation light so this is a useless product for us.
