Reusable Pocket Hand Warmers

One year later the large green rectangular Hot Snapz still work well. They have gotten plenty of use. We had trouble at first; the discs are very hard to snap. Then we found out that rubbing the disc is enough. No need to fight.

Quality construction and work really well. Thick plastic, no leaks, and produce a lot of heat. WARNING: When regenerating, be sure to WATCH or set a timer -- my wife walked away, the water boiled off, and we ended up with a fire on the cooktop (complete with fire alarm and fire truck response!). That's totally our fault, and not a problem with the product -- but I still want to caution everyone when regenerating this type of hand warmer.

Some folk complain that these things don’t work more than once. Happened to me when I boiled one to restore usefulness. The boiled one cooled and hardened, well sort of. It became granulated rather than remain liquid and was not useful. So I boiled the hell out of it next time and it cooled and retained liquid form. Of course, boiling the hell out of these is not a useful recommendation, so next time I used a timer and measured boiling time. Like boiling an egg, 10 minutes at a good boil seemed to produce best results. The product came sealed in a thick, but soft, clear plastic sealed pouch. The liquid inside is green. Out of the six sent, all seemed fine—no leakers. I measured the temperature after activation and the highest it got to was 126 F. Within 10 minutes it began to cool. After twenty minutes it was not very hot.. I assume if it was being used on the body, it might have even cooled quicker. So it looks like it will produce useable/high heat for about 10 minutes.

I swear by these, and this company! I have been using HotSnapZ packs for several years now. I get migraine headaches, and heat applied quickly to the forehead can be a lifesaver (along with my medication). These provide instant, stable, reliable heat. It's fun showing them off to people who have not seen this type of product before. The typical response is amazement as the pack instantly goes from cool liquid to hot solid. CUSTOMER SUPPORT: After using them (and restoring) them many, many times, they eventually wear out (they don't restore fully, and they get large air pockets in them). When this happened, I contacted the folks at HotSnapZ, and they replaced them for me. Even though I was *way* outside their standard warranty period, they still replaced them for me asking me to cover only the shipping cost. What *GREAT* customer service. Just to be clear: the products didn't fail, they just wore out over years of use. I also didn't restore them immediately. I was told that they last longer if you do. I typically wait until I have used several of them before I boil them back to the liquid state. I wouldn't think of purchasing a competing product from another company because, for me, these have been very reliable, and HotSnapZ customer service has won me over. NOTES: * The round orange ones last me a little over 30 minutes. The larger green ones last almost an hour. * They heat up instantly. * I boil them for about 10-15 minutes to restore them. I put several into a pot with a vegetable steamer (to keep them off of the bottom of the pot). * I have a special headband I purchase many years ago which has a pocket to put one of them into, but a regular bandanna would work. * For me, these do not resolve the migraine. It acts as a counter irritant while my medication takes effect. But it really does the job. * No, I have no financial investment in this company (perhaps I should). I'm just a big fan of a great company and great product.

I gave these 3 stars because it work well and does what it says, except 2v of the packs were defective and no matter how much I boiled them they crystallized and I couldn't use them. Except for that they work well. The longevity of the heart was that of like 10 minutes, the heat level was good.

I LOVE that these are reusable. I somehow bought some before but lost all of them during our last move. I have no idea where they are so I had to buy another box of course! They get VERY warm VERY fast. They are an incredible value because they’re reusable. They also are the perfect size for your hands. They do not stay *super* hot for a very long time, but they stay hot enough for long enough. They’re even nice to put on your feet during the cold winter nights. I’ve not had any issues with quality, even after numerous times reboiling them. Love these and they have saved my poor little cold hands so many times.

Works great for outside preschool. Heats up quickly. Not too hot. Only lasts about 20 minutes though.

no problems. good product. its annoying to boil them and return them to normal but thats just the way their designed and there is nothing you can do about it. Takes me about 30 minutes or so, to boil them all to normal. Other then that, they are excellent. They only last about 20 minutes of heat, per single heater but that doesn't matter because there is 6 included and the duration isn't annoying because if your in cold weather and you think your getting frost bite on your hands, you click it and you can literally save yourself from frost bite. So, its a brilliant product and for someone like me with less circulation, its great. This is a product you should definitely buy, if you have a circulation problem where your hands are prone to serious health issues, when you go out in the cold

These are great options to keep hands warm in your mitts. Great product.

I bought these for my granddaughters who play a lot of hockey. My daughter reports they are quite bulky and don’t fit well in mittens. They need to be watched well for any crystals when boiling them to reuse, if there are any left, you have to start over again. all that being said, they are working well to put in skates for a cozy start. Hesitant to recommend them for the price

These are awesome for students like myself who have to walk around campus, keep one in each pocket and you've got heat whenever you need it!
