USED AS AN RCA AUDIO SWITCHER - Inexpensive, yet has high quality sound reproduction
Now-a-days, my audiophile endeavors (as compared to the past) have been confined to a desktop PC environment. Thus, I have to look for small components and speakers to fit where they may in this arrangement. I was using two DAC units (digital to analog converters) and had to switch back and forth by unplugging and plugging in the RCA inputs going to my powered speakers. Of course, this eventually became a hassle as I stopped, stood up and reached to the shelf that the DAC's were on. I had been eying various RCA switchers in the past - some very expensive, others inexpensive. My main concern was not experiencing signal loss or degradation. So I took a chance on purchasing this 2 port video/audio switcher (I am only using the audio inputs - not the video inputs). When it arrived, the construction quality is on par with what you'd expect in this price range. And to be honest, I wasn't expecting much - but I was totally (positively) surprised at this little baby. After connecting both DAC's and switching back and forth between the two, I could discern no difference or degradation in sound qualities (and I consider myself a critical listener). Additionally, I love the push buttons in the front of the unit that allows you to switch between units. This was very convenient, while the RCA cables from the DAC's were connected in the rear. It should also be noted that although this switcher has a compact signature (size), it's large enough to prevent cables (no matter how heavy) from moving the unit around. And for those of you who have tried the various very small mini switchers on the market, getting them to stay in one place after cables have been attached, can be tricky. So for what this is - meaning the ridiculous cheap price you pay for this device, and for what it does - I'm giving it 5 stars.

Simple and easy
Worked like a charm. Used it to connect my turntable and cd player to my Roku port.

Great on the ports that work!
Does exactly what it says it does in clunky and chunky analog fashion. Mine was missing a couple of the steel collars around the jacks so it's being replaced--thankfully Amazon does well there! On the inputs that worked, it is great. I was only using it for audio but tested the video and found it worked well like RCA should. Solid product, probably just a bad one left the factory in my case--I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again. Finally, this is a bi-directional RCA hookup. One input to four outputs is just as possible. A nice bonus if you want to, for example, swap between a Hi-Fi stereo setup and a pair of RF "watch TV quietly" headphones.

Performs as advertized
My Sony TV has a single audio-composite video input. I have a DVD player and a VCR player; both have RCA female receptacles for their output. The two-way AV switch is perfect for selecting whether the output from the DVD player or VCR player is sent to the TV. Another attractive feature of this product is its robust construction: its shell is metal instead of plastic; this increased the cost but I think the modest extra cost is worth it.

2-Port works bidirectionally for audio!
I bought the two port version of this. Of course I have no need for the composite video functionality (not in this century, anyway), and am using just the audio. I was a bit nervous about the audio only switchers that have volume knobs. I don't want the signal going through any more circuitry than necessary! I confirmed it works in 2-in, 1-out mode (which is how the jacks are labelled), but I am using it in 1-in, 2-out mode. (Note again that I am only using audio, I have no idea if 2-in, 1-out would work for composite video!)

Does the job, but feels and looks extremely cheap
It sounds perfect, I'm just using it for music, to hook up a dvd player for CD playback to my reciever, along with my laptop. The problem I have with it though, is it all feels extremely cheap for the price it costs. the rca cable you get feels super cheap, and the box although metal, is very light and doesn't have rubber feet (the cables can move it) The buttons are probably the thing i dislike the most though, excessively loud when you press down on one to switch sources, and they just dont look good either I would have liked to have a more aesthetically pleasing switch box with a metal knob, but the only one on here is 75$, and I refuse to spend that kind of money just to add an extra source for my reciever. Overall, wish there were better options than this on amazon.
