Once they arrived and I had a chance to play with them, I decided to build them into a "laser" course we made for the kids on Halloween. They are bright (used the fast flash mode) and didn't bother cutting any of them. They worked well and seem pretty flexible and durable. Not sure what I'll use them for next, but I am sure something fun. I have seen examples of people sewing them into clothing so perhaps a costume. Review: Great set! Bright, and value packed. - All around top ratings for the value. Exceptional brightness, long and stable battery life. 3 meter lengths were convenient. Be prepared for the inverters of any brand to make some slight high pitched humming though. Just inherent to the design. Does seem to vary slightly in intensity according to different colors, I assume due to different impedances.

Try all as soon as they come in..
The first set of 10 I had to send back there was only 1 of the controllers that was working. But they send another set out with in 2 days and that set all worked! Other than that all is good

Absolutely amazing!
I had mixed emotions but I am so glad I decided to purchase these. All 10 worked and they were perfect for what I needed it for. They are very bright when the light is off and every easy to work with.

These are super awesome for almost anything!!
I wrap these around myself at raves and they look so sick!! no matter what you do. I also brought them to a party and laid them out everywhere like spaghetti and they also looked sick! Id like to figure out a way to sew them into an outfit

Defective, disappointing
All 10 battery packs are defective. None work. A previous reviewer mentioned this and why they’re nonfunctional, this company should have taken his review seriously and fixed the issue. Yes, sure, I could wedge aluminum foil between the batteries or remove some plastic in the casing, but this is time consuming and cumbersome and the resultant product will be unprofessional - I was planning on using these to make some gifts, and cannot do so with defective battery packs. The unfortunate truth is the wires themselves are bright and the colors are pretty, but useless without their power source.

Good brightness and easy to work with.
A frame was designed and 3D printed with clear filament and the EL wire was attached to that. Used black heat shrink for places we wanted the light not to show. Overall, was a fun project!

Good but Very Anoying High Pitch Whine from the Battery Box
Plenty bright but they won't uncoil and stay any semblance of straight attached to soft fiber clothing. I would buy them again but be wary of the veerrryyy annoying high pitch whine that comes from the battery box when turned on. Companies make boxes to connect several to many EL wires to and if you are using more than a couple I suggest you invest in that too. They can also be programmed to flash separately or in patterns.
