This is a great pen! The writing is so smooth and it's always connected and working. I've had different models of the Samsung Note for the last 10 years until they discontinued it after the Note 20, so a pen always came with my phone. It was a little bit aggravating to buy the Fold 6 and have to purchase the pen separately for a $2200 phone, but after not having a pen for a few months, I decided I definitely needed it for a variety of things. One thing is editing old pictures. I love to restore old family photos that have gotten damaged through time by taking a picture of the old picture with my phone and then I'm able restore the color and the clarity by unbluring the picture in google photos and in samsung photos I'm able to erase the reflections which takes alot of discoloration away and I use the blemish remover or the object remover to erase small white dots and other small discolorations. I have to have the pen to do this. There's no way I could do this by touching the screen with my finger and be precise without erasing more of the picture than I wanted to. I tried an off brand generic pen a few years ago on one of my Samsung Note phones when I lost my pen and it didn't work as well. The response time was delayed and sometimes the writing didn't appear on the screen and I would have to go back re-write it a second time. With the soft foldable screen I would be too worried about damaging the screen and voiding the warranty by using a pen that wasn't made by Samsung. It also comes with 2 extra tips and a case adding value for the money spent. I love the case, it fits perfectly and never accidentally falls out when it's in my handbag, so the tip is always protected.
