A very good piece of kit for people wanting to learn the lockpicking skill, it was easy to get started with the included practice locks, however I found these to be a little too easy compared to a real lock. But overall very happy with this purchase.

Good selection of picks. The see-through training locks are a great idea, though if you're not careful they quickly become a crutch, so you have to make a concerted effort to stop looking and concentrate more on sound and feel when picking. Overall it's a good set with decent picks. The main drawback is the practice locks: 1. The keyway on the paddock is made of very cheap, weak metal, which tends to quickly bend and wear with repeated pressure from the tensioner on the top or bottom of the keyway. 2. Because the whole body of the lock is transparent plastic (rather than a window into a metal-bodied lock) it develops a fair bit of play/slop after a while, which can make it harder to tell by feel/sound when a pin is set or released, which again tends to push you to rely more on visual than tactile/auditory feedback. General though, it's a pretty good, cheap beginner set.

Amazing beginners set. I've never tryed to pick a lock in my life but I had to open a locked box I'd inherited so I ordered this set. It only took 3 hours to learn enough to get the box open! Now I have a new skill, some great lock pics and a box full of worthless crap!

Looks are not a good representation of the real thing as far as picking goes. But a food visual aid. Picks are good quality.

The locks are far too easy. I'm an absolute beginner and I opened the padlock on the first try within seconds. I'm either some sort of genius or these are just far too easy. It makes it hard to learn any kind of technique because I can just put tension on the cylinder and push a rake in and it pops right open. No jiggling and no rocking. Just straight in like a key. This is not like a normal lock. There have been times where I've tired lock-picking actions and it's jammed the lock up and made it harder. But with these two locks, I've really only needed to push a rake in like a key and they've popped open within a second. The tools feel ok.

I write this less than two hours since I have had it delivered and I’ve picked both the padlock and the cylinder lock. The instructions are useless. They are translated using Google Translate (so it seems!) so they don’t make it very clear what or how you do it, but with a few YouTube videos I understood the general gist of what you do. I’m going to give it a go try some other spare locks I have laying about because it feels too easy to have been able to do it this quickly. Set is nice enough, I’ve put some pressure on and it hasn’t bent. Case is a nice touch. Probably priced about right for what it is.

Great set for a fun little hobby, came with enough stuff to help me learn the act of lock picking, easy to pick up and learn.
