Good little unit for my 2811 RGB lights
SO my regular controller stopped working my RGBs on my house so was needing something to have at least some type of lights. I purchased this not really knowing if it would do good or not. I was kind of shocked at how plug n play it really is.. I hooked a 12v power supply from some other lights into the unit. hooked my lights to it and plugged it in. Downloaded and opened the app and the lights came on... I wish You could do more with the app but it does give you like 120 different colors and patterns of lights. looks like it can control up t0 600 lights, i only have about 330 as of now. plan to hook more up and see how it does. I had them on all day one day the box never got hot. best part with this i don't need any other power source for the lights. Might try out another box that has more features.BTW this box has no way to fasten itself, you could use double sticky tape on it or something. reason for 1 star on the adhesion

Works pretty well
For the price and size this thing works pretty well. Scanning the QR code takes you to the app store to download the needed app which bluetooth connects to the device. Make sure you also have a power supply that matches the voltage of your lights. It says it will accept anything from 5V-24V.The app is almost overly simple. It gives you a list of BLuetooth devices, and once connected you have the option for selecting 120 different patterns from a dial, or setting your own solid color. It would be nice if it had some descriptions of the 120 programs so you could narrow it down without trying all of them, but they cycle through pretty quickly. My biggest complaint is that it disconnects when you turn off your phone and has no memory of which device to connect to when you come back. The lights keep playing fine, but you have to re-find it in your bluetooth list and reconnect every time you open the app to change a setting.

Reasonably inexpensive introduction to LED technology
The media could not be loaded. I bought two Alitove 16 ft strips, a power supply, and this controller, and then put the LED strips into a 1929 baby grand piano. The BanlanX phone app can run the two "sides" independently, with music sync or without. Since it all plugs in with no tools and just works together, I think it's a good, reasonably inexpensive introduction to LED technology. In the video, I had yet to add the second strip. Oh, I had no trouble getting the adhesive to adhere to the wood or metal. The song is "He Included Me."

Waste of money
Will not connect through app. Remote control does not control any of the lighting. The only thing that does work are the buttons on the box. Waste of money

Hardware is great. Software is not.
The hardware works great. The software not so much. Very limited to preset patterns and colors and most importantly it forgets the device and disconnects. It’s almost more of a demo program than something designed for an end user.

Easy to use, fast customer support too! I've put several around my house
I've got several of these little guys and for the money you can't go wrong! Make sure to power the controller with 12v and ground everything together and you're golden! I use these with WS2812 LEDs, both 5v and 12v lights work great as long as you ground everything together. Make sure you use the LED Hue app, the support guy got back to me in a day or two and helped me get straightened out when I started having a connection issue. Highly recommend, your friends will be amazed with your LED skillz!
