Q: Can I connect and control other Cync or C by GE devices with these switches?

Yes, you can control other Cync or C by GE devices by assigning those devices and the switch to the same app Room or Group in the Cync app.

Q: Can I use the switch with a fan or on a circuit that controls an outlet?

Our Wired Smart Switches are not compatible with fans and cannot control an outlet. They are only compatible with light fixtures and only work with other Cync products. As Cync does not offer an outlet, we cannot mix smart and non-smart devices.

Q: What wires do I need in my switch outlet box for installation?

3-Wire (No Neutral) Smart Switches require Line, Load and Ground wires. 4-Wire (Neutral Wire Required) Smart Switches require Line, Load, Ground and Neutral wires. If your home has neutral wires, we recommend the 4-Wire (Neutral Wire) Smart Switch.

Q: Are Cync Switches compatible with integrated fixtures?

Cync Switches are to be used with triac-dimmable fixtures and LED bulbs. No Neutral Wire Dimmers are safe to use with dimmable integrated fixtures but the performance cannot be guaranteed. Check for bulb compatibility before purchasing.

Q: Why do the lights keep flickering / flashing?

Depending on the bulb type or the minimum load of your lights, you may experience functionality issues, including flashing/flickering lights. Flickering is an issue if the load is below 15W. In these cases, the included bulb adaptor is required.
