TruShield Samsung Galaxy S5 Screen Protector - Tempered Glass Screen Protector

Very good overall:Installation was easy with zero bubbles and easy to follow instructions, although the included cloth is not lint-free so you should avoid using it.Fit is OK but it could have been better for the Galaxy S5, it could be made seamless or near seamless but instead, it leaves a considerable gap to the rim.Feel is good, much better than any non-glass screen protector, but for some reason the finger doesn't glide easily on it. I bought the same one for Sony Xperia Z2 and it felt much smoother. Could it be a newer, improved batch for the Xperia? I don't know but I also noticed that the fingerprints coating is better on the Galaxy S5 piece; so maybe the better oleo-phobic coating is the worse the feel gets?Clarity is excellent, you will never notice any difference in sharpness or color, reflectance is a bit higher than the original screen glass but it is nothing to complain about.

Much sturdier than a standard protector and creates no delay in phone response. Easy to put on, although I did remove and reposition it a few times because I am a perfectionist like that. An alcohol wipe, dust remover (basically a square sticker), and cloth are included to clean the screen. Drop it onto the screen once you line it up and simply watch it adhere by itself. As shown in the picture, the protector has two cutouts, one for the home button and one long one to accommodate the front camera/leds/earpiece. The edge of the long cutout creates a line through "Samsung," but unless you are particularly fond of the logo, this feature shouldn't matter too much. The protector is crystal clear although it does seem to show smudges more easily than the screen. I am confident it will protect from scratches but only time and my clumsiness will tell whether it will protect from drops as well.

Note about tempered glass protectors: This is the second tempered glass cover that I have used on my phone. The first I picked up from verizon for around $20 when I got my phone. That one worked great, but I dropped the phone a few weeks back and broke the tempered glass cover. No complaints though, from the looks of the multiple breaks to the tempered glass, if I didn't have the cover on, my screen would have shattered. My husband is notorious for breaking screens and he's on his 3rd tempered glass cover in less than a year but his phone and screen are still perfect. So in general, I was already happy with tempered glass and have been recommending them to everyone.Specific to TruSheild: I got the model for the Samsung Galaxy S5. This cover went on so much easier than my first, which I had to readjust multiple times to remove bits of lint, dust and air bubbles. I prepared to put the screen on by getting out my scotch tape (a key tool for all other covers I have applied) but I was pleasantly surprised with the TruSheild. I just wiped down the screen with the alcohol pad and the microfiber cloth provided, lined it up, dropped it in place and done. It self-sealed perfectly the first time but I didn't quite have it lined up perfectly. I was able to lift the whole thing up very easily, re-align it and the second time was almost as easy as the first. There was a bubble, but I just pushed it right out. There's a solid seal, looks great, oil-resistant as advertized and a great price. Bonus: Lifetime warranty!I have one small complaint: I got the model for the Samsung Galaxy S5. Due to the positioning of the sensors and the speaker at the top, the manufacturer decided to cut the top edge almost straight across, which leaves more screen space exposed than if they had cut out around each sensor and speaker. This makes me a little nervous but I think between the edge of my case and the screen cover the risk is low. All in all this problem is more troublesome to the aesthetics (IMO) as the edge of the screen cuts through the brand name printed on the front of the phone.Still giving this 5 stars though, completely happy.

First, I'd like to say that tempered glass screen protectors are the way to go. I broke my old one, but my screen would have shattered for sure without it.Anyways, this protector is pretty good as far as looks go. Shiny n stuff. But the reason I gave it 3 stars is because the whole section where the led, front camera, and speaker are is uncovered. It makes me quite weary, actually. If I every need another, I probably won't be purchasing this one a second time. Install was very easy though, just make sure you are in a DUST FREE AREA. It took me like an extra 20 minutes due to dust haha. Easily removed with tape though.

Since my first purchase back in October 2014 I have purchased 2 more TruShield screen protectors. I purchased one for my wife to put on her Samsung S5 and one for my son's S3. I am very impressed at how great this product is. This product is actually so go that they lost a sale. My phone started having problems so I needed to exchange it. Well the new phone came in and I was able to simply lift the protector from my old S5 and put it on my new S5 and it went on good as new. The same day my phone was set to arrive I had placed an order for another TruShield but cancelled it since my original one still worked. Yes I would buy again!---------------------Dec 12, 2014 UPDATE: I have been using the screen protector since October and still love it. It is still as good as the day I put it on my phone. I accidentally dropped my phone both directly on concrete and tile on different occasions and my phone had no damage. The phone landed on the face and side so I was very happy when I picked it up and it was as good as new.-----Oct 21, 2014 - I just received the TruSheild for my Samsung Galaxy S5 yesterday and so far I love it. It is very easy to install. The first time I put it on it was a little too high so I pulled it off and it went back on flawlessly. The feel is slick and smooth and I don't feel a drag like I did with the sticker type screen protector the cell phone company put on.I will update after more usage but as of right now I would not hesitate to get one for everyone in the family.
