First Little Comics Parent Pack: Levels E & F: 16 Funny Books That Are Just the Right Level for Growing Readers Review: I love these books for my daughter and so does she! - My daughter uses leveled books for guided reading in 1st grade and I wanted to have these sets as she progressed up to different levels. She LOVES them. The stories are engaging and entertaining and she really enjoys the comic set up of each book. I like that 2 levels are included in one box so that we have the next level on hand when she's ready. It also gives her the opportunity to challenge herself or have me read the higher level book. Highly recommend! Review: Quality Leveled Readers - These are perfect leveled readers for K & 1st graders. We started with these comics in levels A and B and my son is now working on level D books. This E/F set is next for when he is ready to tackle them. I like that they come in packs so that you have plenty of books all around the same reading level. Helps give kids more practice with the patterns of these lower level books. Level A - D books tend to be boring simply because they are for kids just learning read (therefore vocabulary in the books are limited), but somehow they’ve made these interesting and fun to read. My son loves them and although my younger daughter cannot read yet, she loves looking at the pictures and making her own stories from what she sees. Definitely a good purchase.

A nice break from Pip and Pog
Our daughter loves these books so much more than the Bob books and even the guided science readers. I love that they’re allowing us to discuss some more nuanced aspects of reading (like which speech bubble to read first on the page, and how she needs to read until the period since often the speech bubbles don’t have a full sentence on each line.) she thinks they’re really funny, too. She took about a month to work through the guided science readers C/D level and then devoured these E/F books in a week but always picks them to read over and over. I really feel like these books pushed her up a reading level and—even better—let her find joy in reading on her own.

Short, interesting stories for early readers
My son is in first grade and struggles with reading, so it's very important to provide readers that are at his level to build his confidence and skills. These little books are at his independent and instructional level (E & F) and seem to be funny enough or interesting enough to keep him interested.

Kid approved 👌
My child is a good reader but he prefers not to. He really enjoyed reading these books and thought they were funny.

Great start for grabbing readrrs’ attention!
My boys are just starting to read and these comic books hit the spot. I wish they had a few more words per page, but given the level indicated, the amount of words is appropriate. It’s hard to find materials for reluctant readers with dyslexia!

Great fun
This set of comic books are amusing. Our 1st grade grand daughter was able to read them without much trouble. There is a discussion section included, a separate book. Within the book are generally 3 questions for each story. An adult can use these questions to check for reading comprehension. Our little grand girl liked answering the questions. She felt proud to know the answers. It is nice to have humorous stories for a change when a kid is learning to read. The stories would appeal to boys and girls.

My kids loved that they are comic book style. We use this for home school reading near the end of grade . Great pictures and mini workbook as well.

Love this series. I am a certified teacher and use these books in my home for my own children. They are just the right length and leveled accurately. The First Little Comics (When compared to the other genres of books) are particularly good.
