Ideal for refreshing colour
Never used this product before but will be repurchasing. Easy to use & ideal for refreshing colour. I have bleached balayage which I get toned copper at a hair salon. Anyone with copper/ red hair will know the struggle & expense of keeping it shiny & vibrant. I have only used the product once & my hair is back to a fiery copper, I can’t speak as to how long it will last but definitely a much cheaper & more convenient option than frequently visiting the salon for a colour tone. I love that there are other colours available if you want to mix shades together or experiment & that it is kind to your hair, cruelty free & vegan. It doesn’t colour grey but it doesn’t claim to.

Perfect for grey hair!
I always promised myself that when I went grey, I would use some bright temporary colours in my hair and have some fun with it. Well, now I am salt and pepper, with two thick gret stripes at the sides, and then a generous sprinkling of silver throughout. This stuff is amazing! It's easy to use and not messy (and it smells really nice) and you only have to leave it on for a few minutes. The colour was great once it was rinsed off. It turned all of my silvers bright pink and added a rich, deep 'black forest gateux' hue to the rest of my brunette hair. As it's faded it's gone to a lovely baby pink, but be warned...if you are looking for a wash-in, wash-out colour, this isn't it. I've washed mine at least 8 or 9 times after the first application and the sides are still baby pink. I'll be buying some more colours soon.

Great colour but fades quickly
This is a lovely colour in the pot and gives a great colour to the hair, although it fades from a deep violet to more of a bluey-grey in a few washes, but it's good for a quick refresh for a special occasion. It is very thick and easy to apply without much mess and doesn't have to be left on for ages.

Beautiful colour, loads of compliments!
I feel like this is the product I've always been searching for! After having my hair done at a salon a month or so ago, the toner that was applied by my hairdresser had run its course in my hair. My hair is naturally brunette, but I do have a balayage through it. After a few months away from my hairdresser, the highlights were looking very warm and yellow. In times like these, I've always ran to the semi-perm hair dye to just cover the bits I don't like... which has always come out too dark! After hearing loads of good reviews about Maria Nila, I thought I'd research the Cacao colour depositing mask. I took the plunge and ordered and applied to towel dried hair and brushed through. I am delighted to find once dried that my highlights were a beautiful cool light brown tone. I did only leave the product on for about 4-5 mins as I was a bit worried. I will probably apply again one more time to get the colour I'm looking to achieve. But all in all I'm very happy, I've had a handful of people comment on how nice my hair looks, colour and shine! I've also told all my friends to purchase. Such a great product in between hair dresser appointments that doesn't cause damage!

Faded to green-blue but will not wash out!
Very easy to use and coloured my highlighted hair really well. Felt very conditioning, lovely and soft afterwards. Unfortunately the way it’s washed out has left my hair green/blue/grey / it looks awful and will cost a lot to have corrected at the hairdresser. It’s been a month now with regular washing and using colour stripper but it’s not fading out - very disappointing for a supposedly semi-permanent dye.

It’s ok
I usually love Maria Nila products, but this one wasn’t worth the price imo. It certainly cools brassy tones but my hair didn’t feel or look much different than if I used a £5 hair mask.

Gorgeous - removes yellow
I’d not heard of this brand and I’m so glad I found this. My hair is lightened to a level 12 at the hairdressers and can end up a bit yellow. I don’t like purple conditioners as they make my hair too icy. I want neutral blond not ice white/silver. I left this on for 10 mins and it’s deposited a lovely truly beige tone. I might even leave it a little longer next time. It’s lasted the first wash really well too. And a bonus it smells lovely and left my hair super soft!
