I installed this item onto my 2015 Vulcan S. The setup and installation was easy and straightforward. It took me about 20-25 mins. It looks like it came with the bike and does not stand out at all. It holds all my important documents and opens/closes very easily. Just what I needed to keep all my documents consolidated in one place. Good product!

It provided a great little place to store Registration and Insurance on a motorcycle with absolutely NO storage, not even an under-seat spot...so it worked really well. I will buy it again should I have the need. NOTE: The only issue that resulted is that the license plate was now an inch or so further out and the license plate lights were no longer over it. I ended up adding some additional lighting at the end of the tail light facing down to get some light on the plate - you know, something about legal compliance with a lite plate.

Put this on my bike today. First off you have to put the lock together onto the box, it does not come assembled. They recommend using thread lock to keep the nut on the back of the lock tight. I had some and put it on. Next, you will need a drill and a 1/4" drill bit to drill 2 holes to mount it on your license plate bracket. It comes with 2 screws and locknuts to mount the box to the bracket. The final step is mounting the license plate to the box. There are 4 screws in the kit for this. No predrilled holes, 4 indentations to use to get the screws started. Be careful not to over tighten these screws and strip them out. It takes a little effort, but worth it to keep your documents with your bike.

Fits my 2016 Aprilia RSV4 RR perfect. Sportbikes are getting smaller and more compact and Aprilia removed the area where one could store small items like a phone, gloves, spare rags and most importantly my insurance and registration paperwork. Literally had no where to put it. So I found this stash box by pure luck on a motorcycle webpage and ordered through Amazon. Got here pretty quick but it was too cold out to do anything with for a few weeks. It warmed up a bit and I was finally able to install it. Initially it looked like it wasn't going to work. But I drilled the license plate bracket already on the bike with a bit big enough for some rivets. Then drilled 4 holes in the box to match the location of the four holes in the bracket and popped a rivet in it. BOOM Done. I have a iPhone 6 + so it's really big and literally fits in with no room left over. The stash box also comes with a little sticky plastic envelope the if you fold your paperwork enough it slides right in. Perfect.

The Lockable Stash Box is a great idea. The build quality is flimsy & below par. Only 2 mounting screws with nylon lock nuts are included. Most if not all motorcycle license plate holders have 4 mounting holes. Some lite drilling is required & installation was straight forward. Because the box itself is made of flimsy plastic the box & lock mechanism would not line up requiring some pressure on the key & the box to make it lock & close. All in all it does what is supposed to do and is functional. Great idea but not a great value. I would have paid more for a heavy duty/extend depth version of the Stash Box if it was available.
